I have actually stayed here on three separate visits. There's nothing special about it by any means but it is cheap and it's in a good and safe location. It's old and run down but like most visitors to Athens I'm only there for one night before I go onwards to the Islands. Monastiraki train station (which is the closest) serves both the airport and the port. A side note about Athens; watch your stuff! I have seen and prevented thefts at the rock that overlooks the city. It only takes a second.
Loved our stay, beautiful staff and excellent value for money!
good breakfast. Value for money is very good. Staff gives you the best tips where to find what, and you can book trips directly in the hostel. Also they provid for 7€ laundery service!
Room was small but comfortable enough. Not particularly modern but had everything we needed and the location was fantastic. Would definitely stay again. Also - make sure you check out A for Athens rooftop bar round the corner - fab view!

The climb to the fifth floor is a bit of a hike and the advertised bar was non-existent...
If you happen to be in Santorini, stay at Oia and stay in this hostel. The hostel and staff are cery nice and helpful, the room is spacious and clean also the sunset deck is amazing!
Good location to see the historic sites, cheap price, close to restaurants and easy to access by train

Perfect location for such a clean, affordable hotel. I definitely recommend it!
I couldn't believe it when I arrived and told me that there was no elevator in a hotel with so many floors! It seems that there used to be one, but now it's luggage store! Impossible not to have one! And when you want to pay with credit cards, you have to wait to the owner, and that was a waste of time! The receptionist should be allowed to receive the payments with credit cards! And breakfast seems more like a salad lunch, full of vegetables and so little milk, croissants and things like that.
The location is very good, near the Acropolis and all the atractions, one block from the subway, we walked everywhere. Wifi didn't reach the rooms, breakfast was very poor, rooms okay, clean.
No lifts and is 5 floors high. Aircond were shut 10pm-6am. Understand at night is cooler, but hostel know people only sleep at this time, without air-cond, windows are open and mosquitoes attacking means no sleep. We were told to buy repellant ourselves, which they should have provided since no aircond. How could we have known since we arrived late and every shops is closed. Until now the bites are still itchy. Everything were mentioned on their website for customers' notice, honesty is low.
Basic hostel/hotel very close to the main station from the airport - very close to the attractions (2mins walk or 15 to the Acropolis) Staff friendly and knowledgeable. Air con is a must in Athens - thankfully all the rooms seemed to have good units. Not much of a social atmosphere in the hostel, but that might have just been the time we were there
safe, secure and fairly clean. Only issue being our AC broke and we were on the fifth floor which is like a sauna in Summer time. Other than that had no issues with this hostel and thought it was really great value for money. Free breakfast is a BIG plus.
We were only here for a one night arrived late and left early but the man on the desk was very helpful and had breakfast ready early so we didnt miss it. The room was big with a fridge and own bathroom. Would have gladly stayed longer if possible.
Very good value for your money. It was right in the center of the city very close to all the main attractions. I came in late at night from the airport bus and it was super easy to walk to from Syndagma Square. Free breakfast. The folks who work there are super friendly. Shuttle bus arranged through the hotel to go to the port was great! Things to note: It is a bit noisy as it's on a main street, and if you have trouble walking up stairs, then this is not a good choice for you.
not easy to meet people. staff is helpful and nice. right in the middle of town. clean and quiet. would recommend for a good nights sleep.
Fivos is located just off of monistiraki square (literally 50 meters). Getting into the city is very easy and there is a metro stop just yards away. There is a good night life around in the form of psiri and six dogs being less than a two minute walk. Overall a great hotel especially with a low cost and there are very few "shady" characters around.
Great location. Private room was very basic and a bit small for the price but staff were helpful and the hostel met all our needs. I'd stay here again!
Never more. Terrible hotel and room conditions. I asked why the air conditioning and hot water were not working and the answer is that the cost is too high.....unbelieveble.
Hotel needs maintenance. Mattress was lumpy. The air conditioner was not effective. Was sweating and could not sleep properly. I booked three rooms. One room was without a floor mat and no mini fridge. Breakfast was basic. By the way, you are not supposed to throw toilet paper into the toilet bowl! Why is this so??
