Its still an alright hostel but you can tell the owner is running it into the ground.

Nice Hostel. The location is EXCELLENT. You couldn't possibly be closer to the main market square if you tried! It is a bit loud at night, but there isn't a way you could stay so close and not have noise. The rooms are always kept clean, but they could use a bit of remodeling as mine had a great deal of spackle on the walls without paint, but that adds to the character :)

We mostly picked Flamingo for it's high reviews on this website. If you're looking for a party hostel or somewhere in the heart of Krakow, look no further. However, we were just staying the night and the common areas definitely need some upkeep. The look of Flamingo's interior makes it seem like an incredibly scuzzy place to say. We stayed on a Wednesday night and it was fine. No idea what it's like on the weekends.

In need of maintenance, only 1 reading light in 10 bed dorm worked, locker was broken, shower heads can't be hung up, bunk beds swung wildly and felt very dodgy! Also super loud with gaps in all the doors, thin walls and clubs outside, and they didn't have any of the free ear plugs they advertise. Overall not a bad hostel, breakfast is decent and location is perfect, but cleanliness and facilities are not as good as advertised.

This hostel is wonderful, right in the middle of Old Town. 15 minute walk from the train station. Rented a cheap towel. Free computers to use. Big spacious showers with good pressure and hot water. Clean bathrooms. Comfy beds. Free breakfast included. Spacious dorms. We had the whole place to ourselves when we were there in November on a Monday and Tuesday. Great hostel for a cheap rate, i would definitely stay here again!

Staff were great and very helpful. There were no padlocks left for the cupboards in the room, which would have been a problem if we had other people with us (but we didn't). Location is perfect in the cold weather as it's close to everything in the old town. Great place to stay!

Stayed twice in Flamingo hostel. The location is perfect, the staff are friendly, they have good security lockers, good social area, clean bathrooms. I have to mention that they have a bed-bug problem, which isn't helped by the fact the bunks are wooden. Other than that top marks

we stayed in a double room with shared bathroom - room nice enough. bed hugely uncomfortable/uneven broken slats. Very noisy as opposite the bathroom - a simple spring on the bathroom door would have much improved our stay here, as people who were talking in the bathroom would barely have been heard if the door closed itself. This would also make it easier to walk down the corridor as the door tended to be left open. Poor compared to Flamingo Zakopane.

Very nice hostel, I stayed in a four bed with ensuite then moved to an 8 share without, and definitely prefer the first one. Breakfast was OK, I managed to make myself a toasted ham and cheese sandwich. Wifi had some issues, especially when I was about to leave and had to book my next hostel, I had to use the reception computer as the wifi and the terminals were down. The location cannot be beat for Krakow. Recommended.

I recommend this hostel to anyone who travel on budget in Krakow. This is a good hostel, and the staff was very helpfull. The price is affordable. You just need to book early otherwise you end up sharing room with 9 other people. If you like to socialize, its perfect. All my roommates were friendly.
