i only stayed at one other hostel in Taipei so my review is mainly based on comparison. the hostel is nice enough and right next to the metro which is handy. it was very loud on the street at night and i was on the 4th floor. The beds were also really really uncomfortable.

I stayed in Taipei before moving on to other parts of Taiwan, then back again to end my travel in Taiwan. Clean and very comfortable place to stay and to rest at the common area. Jade is a very professional leader of this hostel who speaks fluent English.Staff is extremely friendly, prompt and will do their best to tend to travellers' needs. Only thing is, I hope the mattress is not that soft. Otherwise, an hostel I'll come back to if I ever come Taipei again.

Wonderful hostel, very clean especially since everyone takes their shoes off at the door :) The staff were extremely helpful and gave me directions and maps etc. My one complaint, and this is sadly a big one that a lot of people appear to have- there need to be better directions to the hostel itself, despite having the map and directions provided with me it still took forever to find the alley where the hostel is located. Some sort of sign maybe would be helpful

It's a shame that such an otherwise awesome hostel has such horrible walking directions and the owner refuses to do anything to help travelers find the place who can't read the tiny Chinese sign.. Please update your walking directions!!!!! It's very annoying to walk around lost until someone pities you enough to finally walk you all the way to the hostel's front door. At the very least, please indicate that the hostel's entrance is on the left side, directly across from the Internet cafe.

I liked it a lot. Atmosphere and staff were very welcoming. If you're lucky, you'll get to meet Jade's French bulldog, Nana.

This place was great. The common room was big with comfortable place to sit and relax after sightseeing all day. There were always fellow travelers around, so it was easy to meet new people. The staff were very friendly and always eager to give you advice (one even told us about some nightlife to go check out). The location is super, being only a few blocks from Taipei Main Station and 20 minutes from CKS Park. The only downside were the mattresses, which felt a bit thin. Still, a great hostel!

FYI, The hostel has 5 floors, take it as consideration when you have too much luggage, althouth they have a storage room at 2F.

A really cool place to live! Five minutes' walk from the Taipei station. Cheap and lovely things to eat around. Members are all very young and nice. And sleeping was really comfortable. Will definitely choose this place if come to Taipei for another time.
