The staff here were not the friendliest and the hostel wasn't that great either

The best hostel I've stopped in so far this tour. The staff couldn't do enough to help out. The meals in the evening were a definite highlight. At last some good pizza made by Italians in Italy. The only complaint I have is they feed me too good and now I have to walk around and exercise all the more to lose the extra weight I'll be carrying around as a result. Good value hostel... will certainly be recommending it to all of my mates when they head out on tour. A hard one to leave.

Loved this hostel! It feels very homey and the staff is very nice. The location is absolutely unbeatable (it's about a block away from the Uffizi gallery). Nice and clean and cozy. You are asked to be out of the hostel from 10AM-4PM for cleaning, so it's not a "party hostel," but everyone we encountered while staying there was very friendly. I highly recommend this hostel.

No lockers available and pretty much you leave your baggage unattended as the key room is shared between the people from the room. The only highlight is the cleaneness of the bathroom (great)

the location is very good, very near to every important site of Florence. and the staff is nice enough, answer all your questions and make good plans for you. the room is clean but a little old. if your window is towards the street, it would be a litte noisy at night.

Great hostel! I've stayed in many hostels and this one was one of the cleanest!! Friendly and helpful staff. The only thing I didn't like was the key system

Excelent location: if it was in other location, it would be less central than it is! Excelent room, good bathroom, good staff. They don't have kitchen, but our room had a small fridge... And you have to be out from 10am to 14pm... Despite that, just perfect! Very quiet, but central location! When visiting florence again, I'll certainly go back there!

This place should not use the name of the hostel. It is virtually a military housing. Full of rules, limits and orders. You can not do this, can not be that. The wi-fi is disconnect at midnight, do you believe this? If you arrive after 22hrs and put this information on the reservation with the time will come, must also send an email.. Otherwise, you will hear sermons and still runs the risk of being in the street with nowhere to sleep. If you want a real hostel, look elsewhere.

It was a quiet hostel but conveniently located and felt very home-like. The shared bathroom was spotless, and the room itself was clean too. I'd definitely recommend it to others visiting Florence- especially for girls travelling alone who want somewhere safe and central to stay.

The stay was great- nice room, good location, and above all the staff was fantastic. The guy who ran it gave us great restaurant recommendations and advice for seeing the town.

Clean hostel, need a better common room, the silence rule is to strict at 22.00 the owner shuts down lights in the rooms if you are not silent, kind of annoying. You cannot have one key instead we had to share ours with 4 people, therefore sometimes security is an issue. Kind of strict personnel, a more relaxed approach would be preferred. The location is great and it's very clean. The worst thing is the Lockout, they throw everyone out between 10.00-14.00. Annoying when you're hangover.

Not much to say other than this place was perfectly average. Very quiet, perfect location right near the center of Florence, reception speaks good English (even if they are a little curt) and were helpful if you needed help. Good place to stay if you want a quiet stay.

I kind of felt like I was on a high school overnight field trip where the teacher forces you turn out lights at a certain time, you can't be trusted, etc - you know what I'm talking about? This place locks you out from 10-14h, there's no great communal room for everyone to meet and greet like many of the better hostels I've stayed at, & the wifi TURNS OFF @midnight...and I'm unable to think of a valid reason for this happening, especially at a price much higher than other hostels I've stayed in.

Owner Comment (Show)
Thanks for your comment, but I think you didn't read proprly the website before you booked. In the first few lines you can find "So, stay alone, stay with friends but whatever you do stay with us! BUT...IF YOU'RE LOOKING FOR A PARTY HOSTEL THIS IS THE WRONG PLACE FOR YOU..." I think that you did a mistake to book here. People who stay over here they want to have a paceful night The lock out- you didn't write anything new, it's written everywhere that we have a lock out. About the Wifi, in 80% of other places and other hostels you have to pay for the Wifi, and is kind of expensive, you know this very good, because you were using here all day and night, because you didn't have a possibility to use it in the hostels where you were staying before. We turn off, because some people in the dormitory don't have respect to others and talk all night using skype. Thank you for your feedback

Situated round the corner from Piazza Di Signoria where the fake statue of David is, the location is excellent. About a 10min walk to most if not all the attractions. Our room was huge & had great views of the street. Wifi was very good & not restricted to the lounge like other hostels. The shutters & curtains were outstanding. Slight down side, there's a 10am-2pm lockout, but we were always out sightseeing by then. Definitely worth the price & will definitely stay here again.

They had no more rooms and located us in another hotel. It was ok, but we wanted to meet people in a hostel and we did not because we went to an hotel.
