This is a very nice youth hostel, I enjoyed time here. Helpful stuffs work here. The receptionist was like an information centre-officer with big knowledge about city and its facilities. The hostel has good atmosphere and excellent location. I warmly suggest you to stay here.

The kitchen area and tv will be nice when the wiring is complete and everything is functional.

We were placed in a room across the street from the actual hostel, so it was a much quieter vibe. It felt more like a quaint hotel room with a shared bathroom. AMAZING location, right in the middle of the city. Staff was very nice too. Only complaint was that our room was right next to the street, so we could hear literally everything going on outside. Other than that a great place.

Unheard of rules (ie. check-in before 10pm, lock-out between 10am and 2pm), applied with zero flexibility. We arrived in the city around 9:30pm, planning to have one person do the check-in while the other parks the car outside the city center. However, the staff insisted on us being both present for check-in, which meant we had to find a temporary parking slot downtown and that took more than an hour. As a consequence, our evening in Florence was ruined as all restaurants closed meanwhile.

Location was very central to all the main tourist attractions, but the street noise from below the room was unbelievable - it was soo loud I got about 3 hours sleep the entire night. The entire place was very clean and tidy. Loved the free use of a computer. There is a kitchen, but it is not available for use by patrons, even for a cup of tea. The best hostel I stayed at had a kitchen for use and complimentary tea and coffee available.

Staff was very bad. Tiolet was out of order. No elevator and long stairs. Bed was very short, only 180cm.

sorry for what happened, but unfortunately I went overbooked and I thought the hostel where I sent you was good, but as I see it was not so. Thank you for your review even if negative, but I will treasure and I will be more careful next time.

A great place to stay, very close to sightseeing, restaurants and shopping. Everything was within walking distance. The staff was very accomodating and welcoming. We arrived about 30 minutes early and soaked and were allowed check in. Staff will hold baggage for you before or after check in/out. A very clean, safe and quaint building with lots of character. Internet is available for free. Staff provide sightseeing tips and a map.

I am very happy staying at the hostel. Staff has always sought to help solve all problems. Ideal location - near Ufichi gallery. I would like to have access to the kitchen at any time, not just for breakfast. Slightly spoiled the mood of the case, when one day in the room after cleaning forgot to close the door with a key. Nothing is lost, but security is not on the security is not up to par. Everything else is just happy

Cutest hostel ever- more of a hotel. Great location, quick walk to the Duomo or Uffizi. Really liked the room, it was nicer than any hostel I've every been in. The only drawback was that we were kicked out of the hostel between 10:00am and 2:00pm, which was kind of ridiculous, and the water was cold in the shower every day. But I would recommend.

The hostel is actually the "Auberge Christina"; there is no sign on he door about "Florence Youth Hostel". It is clean and okay for a night to sleep. The locks on the door didn't look very robust though. We booked a room with bathroom ensuite, but we got a bedroom with a (private) bathroom next door. The staff was trying very hard to be nice. Do not expect to get breakfast. We waited 20 min in the lobby to learn that the beakfastlady was sick. I guess there are more welcome places in Florence.

I missed a train and they sold my bed. Be serious about getting here on time, because they are absolutely unforgiving about lateness. They were nice enough to refer me to a better hostel that had open beds across town, but they would have put me out on the streets without remorse as well. Your plans for arrival must have no flexibility. Arrive on time or lose your bed. If you have doubts about arriving on time, do not DO NOT book with Florence Youth Hostel. Casa di Giuseppe is much better.

The best hostel I've stopped in so far this tour. The staff couldn't do enough to help out. The meals in the evening were a definite highlight. At last some good pizza made by Italians in Italy. The only complaint I have is they feed me too good and now I have to walk around and exercise all the more to lose the extra weight I'll be carrying around as a result. Good value hostel... will certainly be recommending it to all of my mates when they head out on tour. A hard one to leave.

Loved this hostel! It feels very homey and the staff is very nice. The location is absolutely unbeatable (it's about a block away from the Uffizi gallery). Nice and clean and cozy. You are asked to be out of the hostel from 10AM-4PM for cleaning, so it's not a "party hostel," but everyone we encountered while staying there was very friendly. I highly recommend this hostel.
