Florentine Hostel was by far the best hostel I've stayed in!!.. The crew was always helping. They are very nice. The roof also is a great place to chill and relax. I didn't go out too much because I was feeling so comfortable in the hostel. They make you feel like home. I love this place and sure I will come back. I recommend it 120%!!!... Saludos

You can't dry your hands after washing them. It's not a pretty hostel, very worn out. The breakfast is just bread with spread. Lockers are 2 shekel a day. The neighborhood isn't nice, very old and worn out. Hard to find.

hello andreas. sorry to hear you wern't happy with our hostel, we are a backpacker hostel meant for backpackers. simple and basic with lots of character. our breakfast like we mention is simple bread and speacial spreads , but don't forget we are also the cheapest in town and we still provide a small breakfast. about our neighbourhood, I must disagree, as florentine is the place to be if you want to realy enjoy tel aviv. our neighbourhhod is known to be a hip place. most of the people in our neighbourhood are muscian, artist, students of the art and the vibe is great. let alone that we are walking distance 10 minutes to old jaffa and the beach. 15 minutes to center of town or central bus station. 5 minutes to neve tzedek....if you realy come to see tel aviv , my opinion is that florentine is the best neibourhhod to be in Rafi

This place is perfect if you're not familiar with Tel Aviv & are traveling alone. The rooftop terrace is very social and the staff feel more like friends than employees. The crowd is mostly 20-30 and a mix of Americans, Australians, and Europeans. The location isn't all that great but it's an easy walk to all of the main bars/restaurants/beaches.

It's not very often you stumble across a hostel like florentine. For me, the hostel almost governs whether you have a good time in a city or not. And with florentine I certainly struck gold. The vibe is great, very social and it has that homely vibe making it hard to leave. A special shout out to Sam and Eliza the volunteers who really go out of their way to make sure you have a good time. Also Natalie and Ron the local gurus and managers are great! You won't regret staying here!

Florentine Hostel is the most anti profissional hostel that I have already stayed! Everything seems to be improvised! The heater didn´t work, so I had to take a very cold shower! The staff almost never answered doubts, because they were always busier with other things. The bedroom was small! The sheets very old. The breakfast: a lie! Tea, bread, a cream of chocolate and jam. The unique thing I wanted there was run away! That´s what I did.

Hi Julia. I am very sad to hear your reveiew. WE DO HAVE HOT WATER all the time, however if you listen carfully at check in you would know that some point of the day you must come to reception and ask to turn on the boilers. We try hard to make the guests feel at home, if things look improvised their are part of the way we set up things because we want to keep it as a home more than a hostel. I took your comments on the sheets and orderd new sheets. We were missing a staff member while were there, but this was already solved. and we got a new very nice girl to join us. ...but I realy am uncomfortable we you saying we lie. we explain that our breakfast is complimentary ! basic! bread and spread....and let alone that we are the cheapest in town...meaningfully cheapest...so I think it is very unconsiderate of you to call us liars..

The staff are wonderful but unfortunately the facilities are not. Everything is musty and old. Not a place I would recommend unless you are ok with very poor conditions and a considers able wait for the bathroom in the morning.

Hi Jessica. we are working on improving the top floor. the bottom floor which I believe you didn't get to see is completly renovated. I am sure therefore you didn't know that there are another two extra bathroom/showers downstairs :-) Rafi

A nice hostel with all the amenities you'd expect- the roof terrace is a great place to hang out. The biggest selling point of this hostel is the staff, they are always helpful and want to lake sure that you have a good time!

A great place. The staff was VERY helpful, everyone's really friendly. It had a very Bohemian vibe, if that's what you're looking for I highly recommend it. My one complaint is that the hot water was always tepid, when the staff gave an orientation to the place he said that the water is heated with solar and sometimes at night it isn't very warm but just ask them to turn on the heater, but I never knew if it was hot or not until I was already in the shower. Also kind of crowded.

We got there late at night and the staff left signs that pointed us to our rooms! How nice! Beds were comfy but the room was very packed as there was not much place for luggage. In the morning, we were told that there was an upstairs to the hostel and walked up to find a whole new level with a kitchen, big common room, and patio. Super cool. On the weekend that we were there, the volunteers organized a bar crawl with people from the hostel which was very nice and inclusive.

Positives - the staff was nice, let me check in early and were patient with questions, etc. Negatives - not particularly clean, I was offered at first a bed with a wet spot in the middle, water started running down the walls during a night storm and wet my pillow (I was offered a 10% discount if I hadn't paid yet, which I had), breakfast (only toast) had run out when I came an hour into it. The luggage room was a shelf outdoors covered with a tarp.

While the privet rooms are quite nice, the cheap female dorm is just that. Cheap. It is a great price at 55 NIS, but I stayed while it was pouring rain and the walls were leaking. Other then that, I don't really have anything too bad to say about it. The staff were, for the most part, very friendly and helpful and the atmosphere was family/dorm style and quite fun.

Pretty good hostel, though it's definitely focused on very young travelers. Very different atmosphere between its 2 levels, fortunately we stayed in the quieter, clean and orderly lower level :) Staff tries to be helpful, though the group orientation session at the beginning is definitely awkward. The advice that they provided was of mixed quality - some great (like the Abu Hasan humus and msabaha place), some not so much (the most expensive shawarma in town, or the bus to the train station).

This Hostel had a perfect location close to both the old city of Jaffa and Tel Aviv. The atmosphere was perfect with loads of wonderful people as well as the staff. Nice roof top to sit, drink and relax! Stayed there for several days and had an awesome time with my friend and all the people we met along the way!

A great place to hang out, the lounge was awesome and everyone was very helpful and friendly. The only downsides were that there weren't enough bathrooms or showers at times and the kitchen got insanely crowded as well. Great location in Florentine and everyone there knows your name almost immediately. Would go back again.

I really enjoyed my stay at Florentine. The place is small and really cozy. The volunteers are great. Sam and eliza know a ton about the night life and the rest of the volunteers are equally helpful. Everything is really relaxed and it made for a great stay.
