I loved the location of the hostel it´s close to a dream beach! But the day we checked out was horrible.During breakfast the mother of the owner (she cleans up) was annoyingly stressful, cause she wanted us to get our things packed so she can make the beds. She was one hour too early and recognised it too late. After we checked out we went to the beach for a few hours. We came back to the hostel and asked if we could have a quick shower bevor we leave. But this is disrespectful (words of owner)

Good: 1) literally less than 200m from the beach 2) Juan (the owner) does great day trips! Bad: 1) kitchens are in the dorms 2) the big supermarket is a bit of a trek away (but there are bikes you can use)

The best thing about this hostel is the location near to beach. It´s clean and comfortable. However, I found the staff sometimes ignored me completely. And started cleaning the rooms an hour before checkout, which made packing very awkward in a room that is already tight for space. Bring mosquito repellent as the place is swarming with them.

Rooms are very hot without air con and keeping the windows and doors open meant being bitten by mosquitoes all night. Hammocks around the hostel made for a relaxed stay and the location to the beach was awesome. It had a very home based feeling.

We were never really felt to feel welcome and our friend who tried to check in was ignored. The room was cramped with no room to move between bunks, and the kitchen in the room was annoying. Doors had to be kept open so got bitten loads even with deet on and security was no existant. No ATM near but the beach was stunning. This hostel is in the middle of nowhere so real pain if they are fully booked. Luckily we met some awesome people here.

Johnny (the hostel owner; originally 'Juan'), is a very cool and welcoming guy/friend. Ask for his famous BBQ and Caipirinhas (he ll be highly motivated to prepare you the best you ever had).
