creepy-crawly, cockroach, mosquito friendly. no hot water, one fan (temperature over 30°C), after 5 days stay we had to wash even unworn clothes otherwise it gets moldy (humidity over 70%) and my wife got a rash. on the other hand you're in Thailand and it's the cheapest accommodation you can get so you have to expect it...

There are much better budget places on phi phi for the same price range! Negatives:It was noisy with constriction all day and bumping music till 3 am at night. Bathroom looked like a mess and we had a cockroach the size of my had living in there who we "fondly" named bob. The locks on the doors were very loose and would have been easy to break. Also keep in mind that the 2 bed bungalow dose NOT have AC! Positive: Super close to the main beach and the hammocks are sweet!

for the same price you can find an ac dorm on the beach .

These guys have bed bugs in every bed. I got destroyed my first night & they changed me to another bed but doing nothing about the bed I eaten alive in. I got bit again in the new bed & left the hostel. Everyone was reporting bed bugs to them and all they continued to do was change the sheets!!The dirtiest Ive seen and im used to roughing it up! Its close to the party which is good but its a shame this hostel has no common area for people to mingle although I met alot of great people in my dorm.

Think twice before you ignore the bad reviews! I wanted to book ahead instead of finding something when I arrived, and I regretted it. I've traveled in low budget places in Africa and Asia for six months and this was the worst . The place is a dump- literally trash everywhere, the mosquitos will eat you alive bc the nets are in shreds, shady men hang around and blast music while doing construction, the staff is unfriendly, and the place had water probs that left the place smelling like sewage.

Great environment right off one of the main roads of Phi-Phi. close to restaurants/ bars/ atms, and most importantly the beach. Only a fitted sheet comes with your mattress on the floor (for your own private bungalow at least). And chances of ants/bugs/spiders/salamanders in your bathroom very real (had all) but the bedroom section is very much protected with multiple layers of bug nets. The hammock on my front porch was lovely to lay in as well.

Definitely a budget hostel, but clean enough, and the staff were super friendly. They even let me use a bowl for my breakfast and gave me treats like sticky rice with mango. :)

If you stay on Phi Phi Island you should shop around for accomodation once you are there - many people I spoke to had managed to get their own room; un-suite, ac, and tv for less than I paid for a hostel. However the Flower Bungalow served its purpose - a roof over your head and a bed to crash out on.

Very friendly staff. However their policies are that once you have paid for a room you cannot get a refund for a cancellation even if given 24 hours notice.

I was expecting the worst after reading the reviews for this hostel, but I found it just fine! It wasn't super clean, but it wasn't that much dirtier than my residence halls at school. For two nights, I was comfortable. I was in the big 20-person dorm, but we each had our own fan and mosquito net. The location is maybe 100m from the beach and there are shops and food all around. It was all young traveling people staying there, so I wouldn't recommend it if you aren't in your 20s, but I liked it.

The lock on the door to our bungalow was barely hanging on to the door, there was however staff present all day/night. The bathroom was exceptionally dirty, we don't think it got cleaned before our arrival, at least not properly. I expect some mold in the tropics but every wall was rotting. The toilet was disgusting. The room also was not very clean. They should clean better and add proper/secure locks to all doors. Also a drain from the sink to the floor would improve the bathroom a lot.

The hostel overbooked the rooms. The staff apologized and let us stay in the dorm by ourselves, so it worked out alright. The only issue was that we could no longer lock our door when we were not in the room which meant that anyone could get inside and steal our things. Another complaint is the cleanliness, there was a giant roach inside the sink.

We loved our stay at Flower Bungalows! We stayed in the 8 bed mixed dorm...which would never fit 8 people in due to the lack of luggage room but with only one other guest we had plenty of room...and the air con was an absolute delight! The beds were a bit hard but as we were out partying (2 minutes walk to anything you need) we didnt really notice. Recommend paying the extra £2 a night for the 8 bed purely for the aircon. Loved the bungalows and hammocks and would consider trying them next time!

Right near the beach mon. Very simple. Mosquito nets have holess. Bring bug spray and a needle and thread. ... And earplugs. We stayed up yelling at the french guy next door trying to slow play an ozzie girl until 6 am...

Our bungalow was pretty shabby and could have been cleaner. However, we really enjoyed staying here! It's close to everything you could possible need and the site is far enough away from the road for you to get some peace. The staff were pretty disinterested in us but we took a real shine to the night porter who would chat to us in the evenings. Overall, a bit of a dump, but a nice dump. I would return again but I wouldn't recommend staying longer than 2/3days

It was fine. Just a bed with a fan & mossie net - what more do you need when you're in Phi Phi?!
