Flowering House Hostel Reviews

We opted for the basic room which was very small but clean. The bathroom was a walk across the courtyard and pretty dismal - the toilet & shower all crammed into a small space. There was building work at the time so maybe better facilities will be provided? Good location & options for eating out locally or self catering with the new kitchen. Great to experience hutong life with no tourists while having the Metro only 5mins away links to all major sites.

older staff was extremely loud at night, arguing and shouting outside my room. younger attendant at the desk was fine. overall atmosphere was very cold and un-fun. the location cannot be accessed by car and is very tricky to find. IT COSTS MONEY TO SHOWER HERE.

I recommend this hostel! Very nice courtyard, good place to relax, good location,short walk to the subway, just a short walk away tons of restaurants, and most important very very nice stuff, who always try to help you and make you feel welcome!

Great courtyard atmosphere. Provided a good experience for a first-timer staying at a hutong. The place was not too rowdy and was therefore a good place to take a rest at. Staff were helpful and friendly with directions. The area around the hostel was not over-run by tourists and one could still capture a glimpse of life of beijingers in the alleys, especially in the mornings when the breakfast shops and road-side stalls open and beijingers get about their daily activities.

A beautiful courtyard hostel located in a nice houtong. It is located near a metro station and there are some nice cafés and restaurants in walking distance. The staff is very nice and helpful. A very recommended hostel.

The Flowering hostel is very good i n all aspects , i location, accomodation, costumer service and the staff are really helpful and always willing to help, any problem you always can ask Anna, I do reccomend flowering hostel for sure, you can find anything you need in a walk distance also to go to the famous attractions either by tube or by taxi in a short time as they are close to the hostel.
