Flowering House Hostel Reviews

The staff was very friendly and helpfull. There English was very good. The room was simple, but clean. The bathroom was very small, but okay and clean. The matrasses were thin in our room, but we saw some other rooms that had normal matrasses. Overall we enjoyed our stay at the hostel. All the rooms are located at the courtyard and sometimes in the evening it was still noisy, but they were very keen on keeping it quiet. It was very okay to go around in Beijing from the hostel.

It is definitely close to many amenities, but is off the beaten track down a very random ally. The staff were not very helpful and their english was very poor. It made sorting out problems and asking for directions very difficult. We slept on the Great Wall the night before coming here, and that was more comfortable than the beds here.

I enjoy tge living there. The staffs are helpful especially Atian. I will choose here again next time. Traditional design and room. Local life. Good.

I've stayed at Flowering House several times now and will continue to go back. The staff and owner are very friendly and helpful, its located right in the middle of the coolest area of Beijing and its right next to the subway, so its very easy to get to around. Great place to stay if you're interested in seeing old Beijing culture, especially since it is a siheyuan (courtyard home) located in a hu tong (the one story alleys that criss-cross central Beijing).

Loved this place! Stayed there as a solo traveller . Had a warm welcome from all the staff members. One of them even came out to the main street to pick me up because my taxi driver could not find the place.The Great Wall tour provided by the hostel was excellent.

I had a wonderful stay there . The owner a very kind and helpful man . They speak good english , help you to get around town. Very good location. Beautiful courtyard , good rooms with hot shower and heat lamps. I highly recommend it.
