Fluxus Hostel Reviews

It is more like an apartment. The private room is just fine, though the dorms seem kinda crowded for just 2 bathrooms. But if I ever go back to Ljubljana, this will the hostel!

The hostel was in a great location close to the city centre however we thought we were getting an ensuite yet the toilet was separate and in another area of the hostel. The wifi was also not working and No tv channels would actually come on. Luckily the kitchen stove plates and fridge were useful. The private room was tiny, so don't expect to move much with your bags. It was sufficient however not value for money.

Very Ikea style hostel (I recognized every single object :-)) in the center of Lubjana, with all the facilities you could desire: phon, dvd reader, holy bible (in english)!!!

I was the only person in the entire hostel, so it was certainly restful, but a little too quiet even for me. It was in late November though. The dorms are big and definitely not cramped, but to get to the toilet you have to go through one of the dorms, and to get to the shower you have to go through the other dorm, which when busy seems a bit of a poor layout. It's ok and great location, and I am sure would be a good bet in higher season. Chris Overend, Sheffield

Fluxus hostel is very closer to city center and no more than 10 minutes from trains station, so location is perfect. Its clean, good decorate (IKEA style, i like it) and comfortable, just need more showers and toilet 1 for14 person (8+6) to be the best on Ljubliana. The staff is really friendly and help in all you need (travels, general information, directions...) so i suggest this hostel to visit Ljubliana, at least i will go again there if i came back to Ljubliana ;)

Staff were very difficult to contact and checkin proved a chore. However the hostel was clean and cooking facilities were very good. There was only one shower for 14 beds, so large queues in the morning. Good hostel overall, once you don't need reception staff!

The hostel was lovely, although when I was there it was very quiet so not great for socialising. Graet location though.

Don't expect there to be any form of reception staff there for longer than an hour or two per day. Frustrating if you have any questions. There are no lockers in the room and only one "shared" locker. One toilet and one shower which means everyone from the 6 bed dorm has to come through the 8 bed to use the toilet and vice versa for the shower. Don't expect to find the place by their directions. We had to ask a different hostel for directions. Not worth 21 euro a night!

I have been spending 5 days in the Fluxus hostel and I really enjoyed it. It's very well situated in the center of Ljubljana, there is a lot of space and the staff is very nice! I'm sure you'll enjoy it too :-)

Very friendly welcome and charming area.

firstly, its on the 3rd floor and no lift. Get ready to carry your stuff up the flights of stairs. Ensuite doesnt mean exclusive toilet and bathroom- its means the shared bathrrom is in ur room and the 1 toilet is outside. It was the most colurful and spacious of all the hostels we stayed in. Excellent wifi and non available staff. come in to check in guests and clean after that, gone. But its just for 16 people so we can manage pretty much. However, staff were friendly when available.

Excellent staff. We were scheduled to arrive at 9pm, but missed our train and arrived at 2am. We woke the staff up and they were still pleasant and very helpful. This is a small/non party hostel, so if you are looking to get some sleep, meet cool people and enjoy the city, this is your place.

This hostel is in a excellent location. Staff are helpful. I checked out of the hostel before 8am. Unfortunately the front door is locked at this time and requires a key. I have left this in reception! Luckily a shop opens at 8am on the ground floor and I was able to exit then. Just made by bus!!

Fluxes was very clean and attractive, and a good location. Although there is an 8 bed mixed dorm and a six bed mixed dorm, what the website fails to tell you is that these rooms are acuallt joined. To get to the bathroom you must annoy everyone in the 6 bed and to get to the toilet you must annoy everyone in the 8 bed. With one bathroom and one toilet for 14 people, this is really inadequate. It's also extremely hot and noisy with the windows open. No fans, no lockers.

Very clean

Hostel lies very central, not more than 2 minutes away from the old town. The rooms are painted nicely and everything is clean and modern. However, the Hostel is like a tube, so the 1 shower (!) has only access from 6-bed dorm and people in 8 bed-dorm have to go through their room every time. There is also 1 toilett only for all. This is far too less... Staff seems to be quite uninterested in their guests. The lady even was completely gone during the day and at night.

We had a good stay, the hostel is really nice decorated, but there is only one shower and one toilet for the entire hostel (about 12 beds), which is very small and, of course, not very clean...moreover, the kitchen is not that large. I dont really understand why the Fluxus Hostel is on top of the rankings in the region these years...it remains a good hostel, but it isnt worth this mark !

The private room is very nice, but small, and you have no privacy, communicate with other rooms.
