This hostel is your perfect choice if you want to spent the night only 1000 meters from the Badaling section of the great wall and wake up very early in the morning to see the sunrise for free :)))!! Thanks Joe!!

I stayed here for two days at short notice and it was a very good hostel. They emailed good directions, including recommended taxi fares from various locations. When I had a taxi driver who was trying to charge me more than ten times the recommended rate when I arrived, they took care of it for me and I only paid the recommended rate. There is a common area which is a good place to hang out in. The one thing to watch out for is the hostel dog which peed in the dorm room overnight.

This is a gem of a hostel! Tucked away amidst a couple of hutongs, this is a peaceful little haven offering an experience of Old China. The central and beautiful courtyard gives the Fly By Knight a real sense of community and the genuine hospitality of the staff is the crowning delight of this place. The rooms are neat and clean and they even provide you with a free mobile phone for the duration of your stay. I used the subway daily which is less than a ten-minute walk away. Go and stay!

Fly By Knight is the best hostel I have visited in China. Very good in the overall and very good in the details. They got our train tickets for Datong and Pingyao, helped us with good advices, the staff is excellent, really friendly, good english and very helpful in every situation. I can´t say anything negative.

Good staff very helpful. Not very easy to find as it is inside a Hutong. Good location.

The staff is very helpful and always available, they even lend you a cellphone in case you get lost! By far the cleanest hostel I've stayed in and the most picturesque, though the common area is too narrow and gets crowded easily. The hostel is close to the forbidden city, and located near a subway station that connects you to the rest of Beijing. Just avoid their tours to the Great Wall, they're are poor value for your money.

In an extremely good location, short walk to subway station and within walking distance of the forbidden city! Staff are very helpful and always in a good mood. The beds may be the most comfortable hostel bed I have ever slept in, Would definitely recommend to anyone visiting Beijing to stay at fly by knight!

An oasis in Beijing city! Clean, comfortable, great location, awesome service. The facilities are more like hotel standard than a youth hostel. Hutong experience is a great plus as well. Overall a very good pick, I would recommend this place to all my friends

Fly by Knight is the best hostel I've ever stayed in. The staff was super nice and went out of there way to make sure I got there safely. My plane arrived late and then my taxi driver was confused about the location but even though I arrived after check in time a staff member stayed up just to let me in and give me a warm bed. Also, the 6 person dorm room was better than I expected, the shared bathroom was clean, beds were comfy, the rooms were warm and all of the guests were delightful.

A wonderful house, great atmosphere. The staff speaks good English and is always friendly and helpful. The breakfast is the only small minus - eggs and sausage for days was a bit tough. Bathrooms are modern and very clean. My favourite place to stay in Beijing.

Great stay and lovely hostel. You need to do something about the dogs barking late at night and early in the morning though! Perhaps bring the dogs to the hostel later in the day?

The hostel is really good! Staff is very helpfull, location is good, with a subway station near! Beds were ok and bathrooms weren't that good but no major problems.

Amazing hostel!!!!! The staff are very friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. They speak English very well. It has a lot of character and is cozy, quaint and clean. They even have two dogs that live at the hostel. They are so cute. Although, it can be a little hard to find, this Adds to the adventure of staying in a Hutong. I will recommend this hostel to everyone!!!!

You get what you paid for. Free breakfast. Charming place. 4 out of 5. Other hostels I have stayed such as LUBD Silom and LUBD Bangkok are really friendly and accommodating. There is a free computer with wifi but it is mostly occupied by staffs. There is a wifi but not available in all rooms. Internet is slow as well. I have stayed in other hostel in Beijjng. Admittedly, it is the best there is. Just don't expect too much. I yearn to visit Thailand again and enjoy LUBD Bangkok and LUBD Silom.
