Was great, I met people all around the world and also Chinese helpful people who helped me understand their culture, beds are neat, but restroom smell is horrible. Reception girl was very helpful trying to book great wall tour and answering me questions about places to go, food to eat. And we had small party last night at the hostal and they didn't complain about it and helped to ask for pizza. Thank you guys for such a great time in Beijing. I highly recommend this hostal.

Bathroom smelled bad but was clean.

Good location and super comfortable beds made this a great base for my first week in Beijing. A couple of annoyances were the smelly ensuite and the two dogs. I really like animals but these two weren't very friendly and I had one night of baking so overall a liability rather than an asset.

The rooms and bathrooms were very nice (and clean). The staff were lovely and always helpful with giving directions, taking care of any problems, and informing you about extra events that the hostel holds (such as karate and calligraphy lessons). If you're worried about security, don't. They issue a swipe card for the hostel's front door, a room key, and a personal locker key to you. The hostel is very close to a metro stop--super convenient--and within easy walking distance of Tian'anmen.

Very charming little courtyard house, the perfect place for a traditional, intimate Chinese. Good location and reasonable price. The staffs were nice and you were always welcome when you come to them. The immediate surrounding location was great especially if you're looking for something that is quiet and local.

All excellent except location and value for money. From mrt station its around 10 minutes walk, in a very small and localize street(good or bad are depends on ur opinion), but to me its quite far especially when carrying backpack and all stuff. Value for money : average. Honestly this hostel is almost perfect, i can bear with the distance, but 130rmb for a dorm in 8 bed room ? Its really really overprice... 130rmb x 8 = over 1000 yuan charge for a room ??!

Great little hostel / B&B in a hutong that makes you forget you're only a 10 minutes walk from the luxury of Wangfujing. Great staff (many students temporarily working here) and interesting building. However, the hygiene could be improved. A toilet that comes *after* the shower and the sink, in the same little cramped space, is a recipe for disaster! Also, despite all efforts, it can be cold in winter. Otherwise, great experience (albeit pricey).

Fantastic quality, clean and comfortably warm rooms in the depth of Beijing winter. Centrally located in a traditional hutong with lots of eating options nearby. Best of all were the knowledgeable and cheerful staff who were always willing to help. Highly recommended.

Need bigger sign and more signs on main street with arrows as it was difficult to find. Wish coffee and tea were free.

Friendly staff who are always willing to help. I met some nice people and enjoyed the stay. Watch out for the two puppies sneaking into your room and running off with your socks though! Thanks for the fun.
