Didn't had a locker in the room cause they were all taken, so nowhere to put precious belongings. There's not much to do around the hostel, and no activities are organized next to it. Other than smoking weed and drinking a beer, there's not much to do, so it's gonna cost you 8 euro per day to go to Amsterdam or any other interesting city around. If you book this hostel, don't stay for too long.

Really friendly staff who are willing to answer all your questions, and are just cool people to hangout with. It was nice to escape from the overwhelming tourism in the center of Amsterdam. Really awesome atmosphere, plenty of places to hangout and get to know fellow travelers. Not the cleanest hostel I've stayed in, but consider how close it is to the beach.

There's a reason Flying Pig Hostels are famous. The beach hostel is super fun and the staff are really nice (and beautiful!). It's generally just good time and they make burgers, which are perfect for eating after smoking on the deck. This is one of the only hostels I visited where local people hung out, too.

Amazing hostel outside (but not far) from Amsterdam thanks to the daily shuttle service - 4 euros each way nonetheless - The hostel is 2 minutes away from the beach, a perfect place to chill out and fill a real vibe with real people, far from the turnmoil of touristic Amsterdam. We can smoke in the covered terasse / smoking area /common chill out area which makes it even easier to meet peole plus, I had the chance to be here during the fantastic Piggy - wiggy wiggy- Pop, great vibe, great staff.

Hostel was a mass, their pos machine didn't work, hostel was faaaaar away from both amsterdam and leiden. You have to give 4€ for the bus which takes you to the leiden central station to hostel. Rooms were dirty, there was no place to sit in the kitchen. I do not recommend this hostel to anyone.

This hostel was the titties! Perfect area to enjoy the epic beaches in holland and if you want to head to Amsterdam it's a hour drive . BUT. The hostel takes you for 4 euros. Open bar and plenty of activities going on daily . DO NOT PASS THIS PLACE UP! Staff was epic! Except one douche from Australia . Haha . Flying pig . I shall be back !

I liked the place very much except for one thing. A staff member reserved other ppl over our alreadt made reservations for the shuttle bus to amsterdam and we were left to take public transport which ended up costing us 3 times as much...This was very dissappointing

Great breakfast!

My only complaint is that for the free wi-fi, you have to have a Facebook account to log in.... not a problem for 99% of the population I guess, but still a little exclusionary for people like me with no account. That being said, though, this hostel was awesome! My favorite part was the atmosphere.... the staff were fun, fellow travelers who were down to do something interesting and were extremely friendly! This hostel is also just an awesome place to spend a few days relaxing (or detoxing).

The location of the hostel is great! It is an easy short walk to the beach and the town of Noordwijk is pretty cute. There were periods of time where the door to the dorm room was propped open, which was a little unnerving since you don't have to pass by reception to enter the rooms, so someone could have walked through the front door and gone down there without a problem. The staff was extremely nice and enthusiastic!

A really fun place to stay and meet some cool people. Of course it's out of Amsterdam but it's great they have the shuttle there several times a day.

The energy is great at the Flying Pig! If you've already seen Amsterdam and want to see Leiden or Haarlem, you might want to consider staying at Noordwijk's Flying Pig. The beach is right across the street and the roads are perfect if you want to bike/ skate over to nearby cites. There's a neighboring supermarket/ shopping strip with great deals. The hostel was clean and was not too warm or cold. The bathrooms are cleaned often and allow you to have some privacy. The staff is too cool!

I can honestly say this has been my best stay in holland, I've been traveling there for over ten years, at least 6 times a year and have stayed in a number of locations, whether it be cheap hotels from "deal" websites or a last min stay in a hostel. Your staff are amazing, polite, friendly, welcoming and they love to party, the atomosphere is second to none and it almost feels like one big family. I cannot wait to get back over and spend more time at the pig. Beach is lovely and it's cheap! 😃

It has an AWESOME environment, perfect to chill out after a day in Amsterdam. It's a bit far away, yes, but worth it if you wanna take a dip in the ocean before starting the day. The breakfast is good as well, and the room is what you'd expect for so many people (we stayed at the 20 bed mixed).
