I really enjoyed my stay here. The staff were generally other ex-pats running the hostel, and would hangout with the guests when not working. I also liked that many locals came to the bar in the evenings. Very good atmosphere and easy to make friends. Do keep in mind that there are no coffee shops in this town, and you should make purchases in Amsterdam if you enjoy those activities.

This hostel has a very chill atmosphere . If you're looking to relax and hang-out then its perfect. Its right near the beach which is great and the staff are very friendly.

The most chilled out hostel you'll find, quite far from the city centre but right next to the beach.

Hostel was filthy, did not provide lockers and a fair way out of Amsterdam. Defiantly would not recommend for a non-smoker

Cool hostel to get out of downtown Amsterdam and hang out on a beach. Staff is laid back and cool. People smoke a lot of weed in the smoking area, so if you're into that I would check this place out. If you're a none smoker you can still easily stay here and enjoy it. Rooms and bathrooms were very clean. It's a block away from a nice beach so a group of us brought beers to the beach and hung out for the day.

A little out of the way, and if you don't get the shuttle from Amsterdam (they had sold out when I arrived) the metro will cost about 15euros in total to go from central station to the Hostel and take 1.5 hours. The place itself is nice, probably 2 minutes from the beach. A bunch of locals were hanging out all night in the bar.

It was really great at the Flying Pig. We loved to stay there. The beach is only 3 mins walk away, unfortunately there is no coffeeshop in Noordwijk (only in Leiden), but except for this, it's the best Hostel we've visited so far in the Netherlands! Staff is great and really friendly, atmosphere is great too. Everything was fine, we'll return!
