Flying Pig Downtown Reviews

I've never been treated as rudely as I was by a staff member at any other hostel than I was at the Flying Pig Downtown. (However, some staff members were nice). The door to my room didn't lock, and it was dirtier than any other hostel I've visited. The atmosphere in the main areas of the hostel were really unique and I liked them a lot, but it was difficult having the reception desk attached to the bar. Overall, the hostel experience made my Amsterdam experience worse than it could have been.

We went to this hostel due to the high punctuation but it wasn’t definitely a good option.We went to visit the city and during the night we just wanted to sleep,someth ing impossible there,since you have music at the bar so loud, that it seemed that you were sleeping there. You can also hear the people talking at the bar all night long.So if you to have a good night is the best,if you to visit avoid it! Each floor only had one toilet and one shower,and there were a lot of rooms!

A hoot for any young at heart.. 20s through 50 the place is a smokers paradise - friendly and clean.... would recommend to anyone travelling solo...bang in town and near station...

Not the best place to stay if you're a mature adult. Stayed here due to the good reviews it got, but regretted it when all of the "kids" staying in my room came home late and puked and hacked into the night. Pretty bad when a 31 year old woman can handle the "lifestyle" of Amsterdam..regardless, fun if you're young, not if you're "older." Was one of the cleanest hostels I've stayed in though..

Think I'll be back for New Year's, third time in two months, and already knowing I'll spend many other days and nights there :)

great hostel! had to wait a few minutes for check in, no biggie, but also received 3 free drinks for waiting. location was perfect, only a few minute walk from central station. staff were helpful, beds were comfy, great hostel with good value. the bar inside also had great drink prices!

awsome hostel and the best i ever been

This is a great time. If you're looking for a big party in the heart of amsterdam. Go here. The bar stays open late for when you have no where left to explore in the city. The staff are friendly and professional. Beware. If this is your first hostel, don't go to any other ones. This place is great! After we left to bruge we discovered that not all hostels are so amazing.

The absolute perfect hostel. Location is amazing, and the hostel is a 24/7 party. when everything in the city closees you can always continue the night in the hostel. such an amazing experience

Drain in shower was blocked so bathroom floor was wet. Bathroom a bit too small.

Very good hostel you mighty not like it if your 30y or more, most of the guests are like 18y, the smoking room is so much fun but too small always full even at 7am there people smoking which is good haha, if you wanna go to amsterdam to get high like me this is the hostel! Only should cleaning more the bathrooms, well they are the pigs lol! just kidding
