The hostel is very overpriced for the facilities offered. The rooms are super cramped but the breakfast was really good. I still don't understand how the stay deserved 40eur a night
Amazing hostel. I loved all things, exception stairs. 5 floors is bad for my legs.
This hostel was AWESOME. The staff is super chill, the rooms are nice, and there's a bar in the hostel that's great for meeting people and pregaming. Rooms are spacious and bathrooms are clean. The free breakfast was one of the best I've had at hostels - hard boiled eggs, fruit, bread, and cereal. The location is good for day time activities, but it's a 20-25 minute walk away from any of the nightlife. Overall, excellent hostel and would gladly stay again!
We loved our stay at this hostel! Great atmosphere, staff were really friendly & helpful and there is also a separate smoking room next to the bar where you can socialise and relax. The location is perfect too as the hostel overlooks Vondelpark and is right next to museums & art galleries! Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a safe, sociable and all round amazing stay.

Staff were very friendly and helpful. The bed was very comfortable and the facilities were nice and clean. The stairs killed me in this place! Four flights with a 20kg bag is a bit to much for me!
Really fun stay here! Super social breakfast/bar area and smoking room that made it beyond easy to meet people. Great location next to the park for chilling out. I much preferred this over the busy center of town. Good walking tour, free breakfast, hot showers.
Only downside is that the hostel is huge. Otherwise they have everything. Fun chill easy place
For the amount of lodgers there are way too few bathrooms--only a toilet and a urinal per floor. Considering they have a bar and a smoking room where people will hangout for long periods, filling up bladders and possibly getting sick (one ordinary night the downstairs bathroom was covered in puke), I wouldn't recommend this location for anyone with IBS or Crohn's disease because there will never be an open bathroom when you need it, even if it's 3 am.
Simply great. The smoking room will take your soul but you won't care and the staff is very keen on helping everyone out. And although far from DT, you can't beat being across from vondel park.
Great location and environment at this hostel. Overall I am happy I stayed here.
Very impressed at how polite, helpful and responsive the staff was. Excellent breakfast too . The bathrooms and rooms looked very clean.

We stayed in a 2-bed private room where the shower was broken so the lowest water temp we could get was still really hot. The room was right outside the pub, kitchen and smoking area so the room smelled and we could hear the pub after midnight. After my friend left, I moved to a 12-bed doom where there was only two toilet on my floor to share with people from my room and other rooms. The doom was smelly and full of rubbish, empty alcohol bottles and smoking devices.
This hostel certainly has lots of character and atmosphere. There's a small but lively bar and dedicated smoking room at this hostel. The rooms were nice enough but you have your stuff in cages under the bed, they are loud and awkward to move around, especially when you're not sleeping on the bottom bunk. The hostel is located near vondelpark and not in the epicentre of Amsterdam (as opposed to St Christopher's) but it's quieter and you'll be going everywhere by bike anyway!
Lovely place to stay, great location and very helpful staff. Breakfast is good too and boiled eggs is a great way to start the day.
This was a pretty good hostel for the 3 nights we spent here. The free breakfast was European basic but it was fine. The hostel was clean and although it was a little further out of the center, we enjoyed being away from the extreme hustle and bustle and it was right next to Vondelpark and the museums. I'd stay here again.
We stayed at private room, was very quiet and clean. great location for going out
I'd highly recommend this hostel! The room was really clean and cleaned daily, the beds were SO comfortable we didn't want to leave them and having a bathroom inside the room made all the difference. The location is really good, right by Vondelpark and a short walk from the tram stops that went straight to the town centre. Our only criticism was the lack of mirrors in the dorm room! Oh and drinks in the hostel bar are super cheap and REALLY nice. I'd recommend 'Tropical Haze'.

Everything about this place is awesome. The bar, the guests, the smoking room, the atmosphere, and the staff all made our stay here incredibly comfortable and enjoyable. I was sad to leave it. I don't have a single bad thing to say about this hostel, besides the lack of an elevator, but hey... we could all use a little stair climbing exercise every now and then. Cheers guys!
The hostel itself was quite nice, but we found the guests a bit young and drunk/ high. A lot of groups, so it wasn't especially east to meet people. I wouldn't recommend the flying pig for solo travelers.
Probably the perfect hostel if you're into the Amsterdam drug scene, as it has its own smoking room (ventilation is good, but you will smell weed every now and then regardless) and seems to attract predominantly similar minded clientele. Rooms are good, with lockers (more like racks that you can lock) under the beds. Lots of toilets and showers. Location is right next to the Van Gogh Museum. Depending on your inclinations, it could be either the perfect hostel or it could be a drag.
