The cleanliness of the rooms is really great and the bathrooms were fine. The only thing is the kitchen which was always dirty. The fact that internet is not available in the rooms is a bit annoying and it's also not that fast. But overall I had a really great time with my friends there and it's also an great atmosphere to get to know new people. The lockers and the "deposit" towels were a great help too.

Our room was small with bright green walls, the toilet was in the shower. Our room was right near the bar so was noisy all night long. There was also a cat in the breakfast area. Good location though and breakfast was included.

You only need to take tram(2 or 5) from centraal station. Location is better than Flying Pig Downtown. Uptown's location looks safer. Right behind the Hostel's street there are lots of luxury shopping stores. Very very close to Van Gogh Museum, Iamsterdam letters and Hard Rock cafe.

The only negative was that I couldn't get hot water from the shower in my room but the hall shower worked better... Other than that, definitely the best hostel I stayed in while in Amsterdam.

Staying at the Flying Pig Uptown was a great hostel experience. The laid back atmosphere and friendly staff were awesome. We were able to relax at night while still having a good time at the bar. The breakfast was really good too.

The room was not clean at all. There was a strange stain on the sheets (one that clearly did NOT come from the washing machine) and the sink was not cleaned, there was still toothpaste and spit from the previous people there. Yuk! The common toilets were clean though. And the staff was very friendly. The breakfast was okay but nothing extra.

May be the best hostel in the city! Rooms, toilets and showers are very clean. Have a nice common area and bar, also a smoking room. Have free Wi-Fi in common area. Staff is very friendly and know how to entertain, they rock! Have a kitchen includes lots of equipment so you can save a lot of money by making your own meal instead of eating outside everyday. We've stayed 5 days and it was a great experience. Feels like home!

There was a problem with the reservation and we sent two mails one week in advance to cancel one bed but they never answered. When we got there they said they hadn't received the emails so we had to pay for the extra bed. Nevertheless, good service all in all.

It's a really nice hostel and really nice staff. It is not quite in the center but you can go walking anywhere.

The room and bathrooms were really clean and it was good that there was a common area to meet other people. I stayed in the 6 bed room which was really nice and I had it all to myself which was pretty cool. It was also nice that the staff helped me carry my luggage up all the stairs :)

The hostel is completely cleaned every morning, and the breakfast is constantly topped up throughout the breakfast hours. Most beds have a light and a powerpoint next to them. And the rooms have lockers to put your valuables in, but most likely wont fit your bag. Also the kitchen has heaps of cutlery and pots for guests to use. The only negative thing about this hostel is that the showers are small and don't have enough room to put your stuff while you shower without it getting wet.

I had a wonderful time meeting up with old friends and Flying Pig was the perfect place to do it. I only wonder if there was a way to make sure you've all booked the same room. It would be nice to be able to stay with your friends.
