I honestly didn\'t expect much when I booked my place in an 8 bed dorm for 9 Euro. But when I arrived I was positively surprised. The hostel was very clean and the staff pretty friendly and also the dorm was big and had a nice look! Since I arrived pretty early I even could eat some breakfast there which is served from 8 a.m until 11 a.m. They had quite some different things to offer and I have to say that the rooms, sheets, toilets, etc. were very clean! I\'d definitely go back!

I have been to several hostels, but this one is definitely the best. Had so much fun and met wonderful people.

This hostel is really cool place to stay in. The bar and smoking room are perfect place to chill out :) Our room was clean, the bedclothes and towels were free and clean too. The only bad experience we had was stealing our luggage from the secured lockers. Finally we managed to find almost everything, but still - it was quite stressful and unpleasant (there were some people who lost passports, ipod etc.). The Staff claimed that it was the first time...

Staying at the Flying Pig completed our trip. From the moment we arrived the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. The character&atmosphere of the place was excellent, encompassing all that is great about the Netherlands. Free shots at the bar, plenty of characters to chat to in the smoking room and surprise boiled eggs for breakfast! The showers were great, the loo easy too find when you're stoned and stumbling around and the locations looks out over Vondel park. What more could you want!

We had a brilliant time while staying in the flying pig uptown and we would recommend for people to stay there. We will definitely be back

overall a good stay. if you decide to go here, be aware that there is NO elevator. i was on the top floor so it was a bit of a climb to my room. stairs are pretty tall but narrow so watch your step, especially when walking down them. the staff were nice and helpful when we asked how to go to certain places. location is close to some good shopping and everything is very close so walkable.

Wonderful vibe. Chilled out staff, and helpful. No complaints about cleanliness, noise, atmosphere. Breakfast is a bit bland, but thats a very small complaint!

I've never stayed in a hostel before so I didn't know what to expect but I was pleasantly surprised! All of the employees were extremely friendly. I would definitely recommend the Flying Pig Uptown to my friends.

I wish there were less people in the rooms. Fourteen people is way too much.

Bartender Michael was the best! Loved the flying pig. Wish we could head back soon!

Great location.

Rooms were priced at going rate, but I expected more for the money. Bathrooms were quite small, only one electrical plug was available for a room of 12. Also, lockers were available at an additional charge rather than free, which I feel I paid enough to receive for such a price for the stay. Locaion favors the usednf the tram system which is also expensive at €7.50/day as it is a bit out of the way for the main attractions. Staff was helpful with information and recomendations.

What a place, there is like a permanent party, staff is friendly. The double beds are a bit wierd though, but who cares it's Amsterdam!

Enjoyed this place. Great vibe, met some cool people, staff laid back, and very safe.

You should build other bathrooms. Only 2 per level it's not enough ! and I don't talk about toilets ... not clean, too small and only one on the 1st floor. You should put the music down in the morning so we can talk with people without screaming or telling nothing ... Think about it please ! An clean a little better the rooms !!!d

It was my second time at Flying Pig Uptown and it was as great as the first one, or even more. Excellent place.

It's not exactly clean. It's also really noisy. Hope you don't get put in the first floor, cause if you do, you won't sleep very well being just above the bar and smoking area. The bar has good prices, but it's more frequented by locals with really strange thematic parties. Well, if you are not looking a place to sleep, it's a good option. The staff if really good, though.

great party hostel (only kind of hostels I really enjoy) - you guys were great really so happy to have gotten to stay with ya'll :)

The hostel was in a residential area. Very close to bars and tram stop. Clean and reasonably priced. Would stay there again!!
