Look we don't want to be harsh but this place is quite obviously run by people that don't care about it. They run a work for accommodation policy and most people here are staying for the long run and working. One American guy cares enough to help you with where to go etc but the rest not only don't speak English but can't really help you with anything else. No towels without a charge and a non existent breakfast. Beds are nice in the dorm, but compared to places we've given good reviews to,poor.

Footsteps is really near of Patio Bella vista and Cerro San Cristobal. You can enjoy having a Happy Hour in many bars near this hostel also. Location is good and you can return later without any problem. Neibourhood is safe.

The hostel has a good kitchen, bedroom lockers and is well located near the Bellavista area. However, the hostel lacked atmosphere and the staff were unenthusiatic and not very knowledgeable about Santiago, giving wrong information which isn´t helpful. A welcome and introduction to the hostel and the city would have been nice and useful.

Beautiful little gem. Breaky is substantial, beds comfortable, WIFI good! Location in a safe area close to everything! Santiago is an amazing city and the hostel can lead you to all of it! Take a spicey chile walking tour the first day your there and just explore!
