We had early flight and didn\'t sleep due to noise in ground floor common area. Maybe cut off time 12pm for common area? Noise went till 2am. Good location, staff helpful. Bathrooms often busy, difficult to get to a shower.

A deceny enough hostel for the price, v convenient by baquedano metro. Dorms are a bit cramped, breakfast not spectacular but they're a friendly bunch and its not too noisy

The beds are bad the common room even worse. The only positive thing would be the location, but other hostels beat that by far with same prices.

Good location near to a metro stop and supermarket. Breakfast was okay. Only had one computer for guests to use. Security was good.

Footsteps is a great small hostel located right near on of Santiago's best bar districts. Comparative to other hostels in Santiago (of which I've stayed at three), it's advantages include: relatively clean bathrooms, small size meant we met lots of people, wifi is not only in the common areas but also in the rooms (have found this to be rare), accessible kitchen with plenty of cookware, and it's location.

Hey, All I have to say is GRACIAS Casabella. Richard, Lily and Bobby are GREAT! They are so Welcoming and Friendly. Richard will help you with anything and gives great advice on Valparaiso & Vina Del Mar. Lily serves a lovely Breakfast and is always Smiling! Bobby has a Great City tour. The place itself feels so Homely and you immediately feel comfortable. I would fully recommend this Hostel to anyone who vists Valparaiso, I just hope I will be able to return. Mucho Gracias Casabella, Bless x.

Staff are very friendly and helpful. The location is central to the city and close to two subway lines. Nicely maintained common areas and a cute courtyard. Water temp in the showers is a gamble. They asked us to switch rooms with 15 minutes notice, but were very accomodating and upgraded us to a private room for the inconvenience.

I had a good time at Footsteps Backpackers. Met some awesome people Lots of fun things to do and they arranged pub crawls! But the beds were awful! I reserved so i paid a deposit, they made me pay full price and they lost my friends payment and made her pay again. Poor book keeping and one of the staff was extremely unprofessional. I give them a 6.5 out of 10

The staff is lovely, the location is excellent and the price is also good. But you get what you pay for. I booked a single private ensuite and got a tiny room with two bunk beds, a window and no fans or air-conditioning even though it was summer. I also didn't have a private bathroom. They don't give you towels, which seems mean. However the location is INCREDIBLE, it's the best you can get - you can WALK to party in Bella Vista or to get the Metro and go ANYWHERE.

The staff are the best thing about this hostel. Cecilia is like a mom and was such a help to me when I had some health problems during my stay. Great location, close to a metro stop, and the hostel is small and intimate. Other than that, the beds are terribly noisy (metal and ricketty) and the shower cubicles have not been properly cleaned in living memory.

Footsteps it's your home on Santiago, despite the simplicity the hostel has the best atmosphere that i've ever seen. And the location is very good.

I really liked staying when I was travelling to Santiago. The only thing that change each time is the staff which is usually good. The only thing I didn't really appreciate was when one of them was putting her music really high in the common room but told it to another member of the staff and it seems that they took it in account. Everything else was good, the owner of the place seem to manage it well.
