We just had a really lovely stay at Forest Glen. Location is great (10 minute walk to town but away from the bustle of the main road), rooms are comfortable, and best of all, the welcome was warm. The grounds are beautiful - we felt we were at a hillside retreat. The adjoining pre-school, also run by the owner, is adorable. A great find!

We called in to let them know that we will be arriving a day later than booked. We were told that it is fine and should be no problem. When we arrive there, the lady (or wife) told us that our room is not available as the man we spoke to (husband) did not let her know about the change of dates. She was not that helpful in anyway as to even find another place to stay. She told our driver that she doesnt belive we will find another place to stay. There are much better places to stay in Kandy.

Really enjoyed our stay at Forest Glen. Indra is the most perfect host ( ess ) and her dinner meals are just fantastic - some of the best curries we had in Sri Lanka. Breakfasts also are very delicious, nutritious and a great start to the day. Lovely quiet spot ( 10 - 15 minutes walk to Kandy centre ) and very friendly atmosphere. Can organise drivers for trips at reasonable cost. The only niggle would be that the mattresses could be more comfortable but everything else just great.
