Not well organized, one of us had to sleep in the staff room because even if we've made a reservation they didn't have enough place. We slept for free thanks to it but mattress are full of springs and I've never sleep that bad in others hostels.

Very convenient location as it's the closest backpackers hostel I could find from the train station, though a bit of a hike to get to the door. Basic facilities, sufficient for 1/2 nights' stay. Love the wooden bunk (but not in all rooms), more sturdy than those assembled ones. Doors tend to slam quite loudly when release, unintentionally startling sleeping/resting lodgers in the room. Booked an all female room, but arrived to a mixed room. Some may not feel comfortable though I was OK with it.

Dirty old crappy bathrooms. Cockoach in the hallway! Nobody was at reception at that moment so I couldn't show it. No power socket in the rooms. Wifi was slow and only in the reception. Drying room was great as well as many advices for ben Nevis climbing. Atmosphere is nice with fireside room. It could be a great hostel but it is definitely NOT. It is a crappy old one instead ! Funny sentences on the walls is not enough to be a good hostel of the new era of youth hostelling!

The hostel is really well located near the town centre, bus station and train station. It is also right near the entrance to a number of walking trails. There are no lockers in the rooms but other than that the facilities were nice with a fireplace in the lounge and a decent kitchen etc.

Excellent place to stay, especially after of before a west highland way tour. Great staff, location and value

It's okay, but nothing more. Facilities are rather old (bathroom), some mattresses were very bad (not all, though) - you should check them out before you go to bed so that you might be able to switch beds. bathroom/showers are rather old and shared by men and women, which is not particularly convenient. kitchen wasn't very clean (dirty dishes). rather young visitors.

It was very old, the mattresses were made of foam and very uncomfortable. Generally unclean. However the staff were fantastic

Really great hostel. An easy walk to city centre, its location has great views of the area and the firepit is a really cool feature. Only criticism that stops me giving it 100% across the board is that the rooms don't have lockers. Little ones for essentials could easily be installed.

Nice location close to the station. Great views and friendly and helpful staff.

Bathroom was really small on the second floor, was packed in the morning and with no air to breath. Staff was lovely, as was the room. What i find a bit scary is that the upper beds on bunks do not have a railing whatsoever. One more thing - we made a booking for two, but did not get beds in one bunk (who gets which bed was arranged by hostel not by free choice), although one was upper and one lower bed.

Best were the hosts - very friendly, helpful and made you feel at home. Even the environment is such that it makes people get friendly much faster than any other place I have stayed so far. Thanks for making my trip memorable and a happy one :-)

The staff is amazingly friendly, experienced and helpful. You feel at home from the first second on. It was a great stay! And the view from the kitchen is absolutely beautiful.

This is a great little hostel geared towards hikers in the area. The kitchen is spacious and the staff is very friendly. The beds however are quite uncomfortable and we never managed to have a hot shower. Some people showered late at night and they may have had warm showers but we didn't even get Luke warm in the mornings. The hostel is close to the bus station and only 20 minutes walk to Ben Nevis so it's a good location. I suppose for the money it's worth it and I would stay again.

Good location with a nice view over Fort William. Cosy fireplaces inside and outside, friendly staff, various additional services like laundry, breakfast, etc. and free wifi.
