Had a fantastic time here, staff very friendly and helpful, location fantastic - right by the town yet still very close to the surrounding mountainside. Felt at home right from the start, didn't want to leave!

Environment and staff is very nice. The equipment and furniture is not very new, however, as an accommodation for hikers it is more than enough.

The staff is very friendly and accommodating, and its location near the train station is great. I really enjoyed the free coffee, tea, and cocoa. The common area is very cozy.

Fantastic hostel! They say, the weather in Britain may be cold, but the hearts and the hearths are warm. Definitely true with this hostel. Thanks Terrance and everyone else who made it a great place to stay and feel at home in front of the fire for a couple of days.

The Location is perfect, especially for those willing to start the Great Glen Way; less than 300 meters from the start ! Great hostel like we love them, except perhaps a little down on cleanliness if you look too close into details but nothing to worry about.

What a place to stay! Chill out have a beer by the open fire, read a book or use it as a base to climb the ben! I did all 3 and have to say 1st impressions where wrong, as we pulled up i thought oh uh! Lol but honestly this place is great! Like being at home with use of the kitchen fridges cooker etc showers where great and always clean dispite the amount of use it got! Bunk beds basic but all you need if your looking for luxury look elsewhere but if u friendly, clean, fun place this is it!!

People were great. Place is a bit run down, dingy. location is great! 25 min walk from Ben Nevis. 10 min walk into town with a great grocery store. 7 min walk to bus station though you do have a to climb a steep hill, worth mentioning. Free coffee tea and hot chocolate in the morning. (though the coffee is undrinkable, even with milk and sugar). Paid for internet. No laundry, except their laundry service which costs £3.5. kitchen is tiny, but available. Showers were awesome. Overall satisfactory

Andy at reception was fantastic and a great help. He took a geniune interest and the 3 Peaks Challenge we were doing. However I have scored staff as average as despite asking for permission to use the kitchen earlier than it opened so we could make some porridge (we were starting Ben Nevis at 6am) we still got 'told off' by a South African speaking member of staff. We were being quite and respectful of the fact that others (including the staff) were sleeping.

Staff were great at this hostel, it was in a good location near to bus/train station and walkable to town centre. Wifi and towel much appreciated. Would def stay here again. Only problem was sharing a dorm with a few snorers... earplugs?

Terence was really nice! Even though we were sick and very unfriendly on our arival we recieved a warm welcome and a lovely stay. The hostel as a good location 5 min walk from the train station and a big supermarket 10 min from city centre perfect.

It was great place to stay, though it would have been nice to get a hot shower, it was warm, but not hot to get me warm after a chilly day. The staff was great and there would have been a good opportunity to go to a pub, but had an early morning the following morning. The kitchen was a little small but didn't mind. There isn't much parking place at the hostel but luckily you can park just 50 metres from the hostel on the street. I would stay again.
