Rooms were good - spacious and clean but the kitchen lets the hostel down. There was hardly any equipment so you couldn't cook properly and you are given metal plates and cups to use which makes everything taste metallic. Also no free WiFi. I stayed at Pippies hostel in Rainbow beach as well and that was definitely better than Frasers.

Overall a decent place to stay, the kitchen didn't have much and was pretty small, and cleanliness was about as expected for a hostel full of backpackers staying the night or two. Other than the bars drinks being pretty expensive, it was decent value for money, the common area had DVDs free pool table, ping pong, and sometimes live music, so that's all good!

Excellent location and bar. Room interior needs a good clean and revamp. Front desk staff more interested in chatting with one another than serving guests. Bar staff really friendly and fun!

Really unfriendly and unhelpful staff, atmosphere ruined by how cliquey the staff are. The first night I was there they had a 'lock in' in the bar, which seemed to amount to a private party for male barstaff and female backpackers. I wouldn't mind but the music was really loud and I was obviously not invited to the party (the bar for was closed in my face) so had to try and sleep with music blaring in the next room. Over all the worst hostel I've stayed in. I would recommend Dingos or Pippies

Absolutely awful. Rainbows just a stopover for Frasers but this hostel is disgusting. And they take your passport as deposit...wth?! Stay at Dingos next door if you can.

It would of been nice to have been offered a room that was a bit quieter away from the main area as needed to get up early in the morning

The kitchen was very dirty and there was a lot of old food in the fridge! The kitchen equipment was poor aswell! The room was ok but no more than that, I would not recommend any longer stay at this hostel!

You can open the room by grabbing through the window - not secure at all. The bathroom is quite dirty. The beds are covered with plastic sheets which feels horrible. The internet is quite expensive. Though, the pancakes in the morning are good, although I had to queue for half an hour to get one.

Thought it was quite dirty overall. The rooms were very hot and the fans barely worked. The toilets didn't feel clean at all. The kitchen was not well taken care of.
