Floors were without covering that had been removed. Every faucet in the room leaked. Floor not swept or mopped in room. Cabinet doors missing with hinges sticking out. Flimsy latch on sliding glass doors.

Dirty rooms and bathrooms no atmosphere, wifi didn't work.. Only saving grace was the staff were friendly and helpful as they could be.

Was a nice stay for 2 nights but wouldn't be able to stay longer! We only stayed a night before going to Fraser Island and the night we got back from Fraser Island!! Rainbow beach itself is VERY small and there is nothing to do there. The hostels rooms had mould on the ceilings and in the bathrooms! The staff were very friendly and the bedding was clean!

It was just okay, stayed in a lot nicer places in the east coast.

We had to walk through a dorm to get to our 'private' room which was practically part of the dorm and wasn't even made up. When we asked to move the staff were rude and patronizing. The new room was filthy and the sheets had suspicious white stains on them. Housekeeping came to the room x3 and despite complaining about the sheets did not change them. Hostel was dirty, noisy and in poor condition. Kept our passport until checkout as 'key deposit'. Worst hostel we've been to. NOT recommended.

Stayed two nights there and the room was clean and tidy - the shower didnt work well and the tap fell off. I liked the fact that you where given a bowl, plate, cup, knife and fork to use and they were your responsibility. it ment there was clean dishes.

Rooms seem to vary quite a bit. En suites could do with a deep clean/refurb. Decent pool area and common area/bar that has good happy hour deals everyday. Highly recommend the daily free 4.15pm walk to Carlo Sandblow for sandboarding and sunset! The 2 staff guys who take you are really nice as well. Decent place to stop before/after Fraser Island. Wifi costs $5 for 24hours on one device, but is fast.
