Amazing staff and amazing rooms for the price. As far as facilities and private rooms go, Better than your average hotel.
Whilst a little bit out of the city centre, it's only 10 minutes by foot into town and right next to the station, so it's location is good. As for inside it's a pleasant surprise given the functional nature of the exterior, I'd defiantly recommend.
Good value for self cater backpackers, and others looking for a place to stay for a couple of days. 5 min walk from train station, 15min from old town made the location for us perfect. The room was actually bigger than out appartment back home! The staff was friendly and helpfull. Breakfast was good, with bread, baguettes or müesli, juice, spread, jam, honey, tea and coffee. Would recommend.
Stayed in 6 bed mixed dorm, it's nice to be separated into 2 parts with kithen inside the room; staff are helpful, the beds are comfortable; location is close to train station, far from city town. It was a good stay.
Overall an amazing experience. Would recommend Freddie next to Mercury to anyone as is a short walk to the old town, very friendly and helpful staff, great little terrace but most of all an amazing breakfast you can have any time of the day!
Only good thing is close walking distance to train station and old town square. Also, each room has it's own kitchenette equipped with dishes and utensils. Common room has a tv and nice balcony but couches are old and they also put wooden crates with pillows to sit on. Everything just seemed grungy. Was happy to leave. Facilities were clean enough. Staff didn't do much. Provide a small breakfast for a small fee.
We felt that the photos on this website were rather misleading, as the room we stayed in was nothing like the rooms had seen. It was about a twenty minute walk from the main attractions as well, which was a bit far from our 24 hour trip. Otherwise it was ok, and the staff were helpful in both their directions to the hostel and little bits of help during out stay.

Hostel was great. Friendly staff, easy walk to the old town and not far from the train station. Room was great no complaints.
Great hostel. The cleaning team was way happier than the staff at the desk.. :) But also very nice! Would come again if I'm in Bratislava.
Went as part of interrailing. It was like staying in a hotel room with a few extra beds in, met a Finnish couple there. Bathroom facilities were excellent. One of the staff members was a bit moody but the others were fine. Really close to the train station, but also there's not much going in the area. Town centre is about a 15 minute walk.
Just awesome. Hostel price with Hotel facilities. The breakfast is just great! The staff too, the beds, bathrooms everything. Just loved my stayed there. It is really close to the train station, really nice place!
Unfortunately, pictures give out unrealistic impression of the rooms and the hostel: everything's much shabbier and stuffy. The laundry service was excellent and free: but just because their guest washing machine was broken they used the very efficient staff washer for our clothes. We enjoyed our time in Bratislava so I wish I had something nice to say about the hostel, but not really. The staff was not rude but not too welcoming either.
Amazing double room! Had own en-suite (excellent shower), small kitchenette with fridge and cooker, very spacious room including a sofa. However bed was two singles pushed together. Free hairdryer and towels. Staff helpful and efficient. 5 mins walk to train station, so great for connections. 20 min walk to town, but good general food shop straight across road from hostel. Very quiet hostel; not for partying. Double glazing made room peaceful. Breakfast (pay extra) was average.
Great room, great terase, nice staff, 5stars!!

I really licked my stay in this hostel. Rooms are very bright, nice and clean. There was even a personal kitchen in the room. Towels, hair dryer available. Good internet. Wonderful chill out rooms. Personal is very friendly and helpful. Good breakfast. Only problem the lockers didn't close. But otherwise totally worth the money and it's only 10 min by foot from the center. I totally recommend it.
Stayed at this hostel for two nights. Very good price-quality relation and conveniently situated near the train station and only ten minutes away from the city centre. Cheap breakfast, cozy atmosphere and helpful staff.
Despite any from receptionists couldn't tell us what we can visit in city and that they tried to add us city tax without asking if we are students was ok. Room was very conformable with kitchen inside and lovely bed, only pillows were a bit weird, also nice surprise was common room, generally I recommend it for couple and for bigger group!
close to the train station and 10 minutes walk from the city center. there isnt much food around the hostel. since we took a bus from vienna to bratislava and it was a bit away from the bus station ( 25 minute walk) so it took us a while to get there
For what we paid this was excellent value for money. 10 min walk from train station, and not long to walk in to the old town (and a lovely walk too in the snow). The room itself blew us away. Spacious, with sofa, table, kitchenette, good bathroom. Again, excellent value for money. The bed itself was a little uncomfortable though, as it was a very thin mattress.
