One of my favourite hostels I ever visited : the manager is very, very kind and helpful, a lot of facilities, we felt at home there for a cheap price. Timisoara is a very nice city, for sure you will enjoy it !

I would highly recommend Freeborn Hostel to anyone visiting Timisoara. The staff is really nice and helpful - I have arrived at 10pm and I was still warmly welcomed by the staff, that was ready to show me around, invite to watch the movie, and to provide me with the map and instructions how to reach most important places. Great advantage is also the location - very close to all places woth visiting.

I had an amazing time in the hostel, really enjoyed Raul's company, he has been very helpful and I was very impressed. Without his help I wouldn't be able to enjoy my time in Timisoara and to get round all the things I needed (taxis, hairdresser....) Big thank you!!

I had the best hostel experience in freeborn hostel. The boss and the staffs are amazing. They spent like an hour to help me to plan a day trip to the nearby sightseeing spots. GREAT LOCATION... 3 mins walk to the city center. And they have a very nice backyard for chilling and clothes drying. If I get a chance to go back to Timisoara, freeborn will be my only choice.

Great location just off the main square, easy walk from the train station. Good security, very clean and hot water all the time. Everything you need in a hostel. Recommended.

Perfect hostel, Raul (the owner) is really friendly and helpful. Hostel located just just 10 minutes from all main attractions.

The location is amazing, in the central area of Timisoara. The place is nice and clean. The staff were very friendly, but did not know much about the hostel and city.

Good hostel, good kitchen, good people, good location, nearby shopping. Inefficient directions. Look it up on Googlemaps before you arrive.

Very nice staff and environment. We were very well received. And it is walking distance to main places to see in town.

Raul was extremely helpful to us with planning our trip, ideas for things to do etc . It made all the difference for our stay in Romania. Thanks Raul!! The only thing I would say is that the bathrooms could be a bit cleaner. Other than that, great place to stay. Highly recommend.

WOW what a great place. The owner of the place, Raul, is just absolutely awesome. He's so welcoming. After not arriving at the arrival time I put down, Raul called me and met me with me on the street. I'm glad he called because I was lost and had absolutely no idea of how to get to the hostel. I didn't spend a lot of time here because I got in late and had to take a morning train but had a lot of fun during the little time I was there. At night we watched a movie. I recommend this place!!!

EXCELLENT hostel!! Great location and has everything you need. Super friendly staff- Raul litterally took me go karting!! Wish I'd stayed longer........

If this hostel were a beverage, it'd be a wonderfully delicious cup of tea; cozy, warm, with a down-to-earth vibe reminiscent of being in someone's home - it's a wonderful place from which to explore Timisoara. Guided by the most gentlemanly of hosts, Raoul, the hostel is perfectly located next to the center and sights. Play some wii, watch a movie, it's an inviting environment suited to meeting people, or to just chill out. Strongly recommend, 10/10 would stay again.

Great location and nice beds with curtains (Y). The owner was genuinely interested in helping travellers make the most of their trips and always had time. Thanks a lot!

I hereby grant Freeborn Hostel the "Best Bunkbeds Award" with cool privacy curtains that were a major perk for me. Freeborn also gets the "Best Lockers Awards" - they have the tallest and biggest lockers I've ever seen at any hostel. I'm over 6' feet tall & my locker was taller than me! Finally, Raul, the owner gets the "Most Congenial Award". He's very likeable & the consummate pro & when I asked him if I could practice my Romanian with him, he did so everyday for the 19 days I was there!

Even dough I didn't stay long I have made 2 friends over there. Raul and Josh were great! The place isn't very big but it has a warm, home-like feeling to it! Perfect location, nice atmosphere, clean! Had a great time playing on the wii and ping-pong! I will definitely come back in the summer! Until next time guys....:)

This hostel is great and in full expansion. It will get even better in the next few months! The staff is really cool and friendly. I'll be back, for sure.

This is my second time back to this Hostel and I must say this is one of my favorite places. Its staff is very friendly the rooms are comfortable and I have always met interesting and cool people when I stay here. Everything has been really clean when and I love hanging out playing Wii and watching movies in the lounge with other guests. The location of the Hostel couldn't be better with just a couple short minutes to the very heart of Timisoara's City Center. You wont be disappointed!
