Not a bad hostel, Booked 2 beds in a 5 bed dorm, although when got there got put in private room, so not complaining about that. the room was clean but extremely bare, a few pictures could make it feel a bit better. airconditioner wasn't working properly so when went down to reception she helped me by giving me a electric heater, only problem was since old building this kept tripping the circuit breaker, but overall good stay, possibily stay agaim.
I am very content of the atmosphere, i spnt there very nice time, everyone was open and helpful. Thank you!!

I had to be honest freedom traveller hostel is the worst hostel that I ever stay..the guy in the reception is totally rude and arrogant.hostel is boring .if you expecting to meet new people and staying social place this hostel is the last place that you can stay.there is no under bed lockers that you can put your luggage.soo I felt non secure about it.sheets and roomes were clean but showers and toilettes not soo much.
Nice hostel close to termini station and if you don't mind walking its in a good location to all the sites. The guy a reception was helpful and pointed out things on the map for us. There is a decent all you can eat pizza/pasta place across from the hostel where you can fill up on cheap food for 5 euros. The rooms weren't anything special and our shower didn't work which was a major buzzkill. But other than that they provided cheap rooms with banging breakfast pastries every morning. Cheers
Uncomfortable beds, some of the staff was nice, some staff members were rather dismissive.

ACTUALLY I PREFER THE HOSTEL ON VIA GAETA. THE LOCATION IS BETTER! HAVE THE SUPER MARKET RIGHT AT THE CORNER. BUT THIS TIME THEY PUT US ON THE DIFFERENT BUILDING. I LIKE THE BUSINESS MUST GETTING BETTER! ANYWAY, AS USUAL I REALLY ENJOY THE STAY IN FREEDOM TRAVELLER. AND I HOPE MY NEXT STAY COULD PUT ME ON THE BUILDING IN VIA GAETA!!!
The reception staff was great to me, helpful and drew me a few maps of what to see and where to eat! :D Definitely ask about where to get good pizza, how to get around, etc. They will often recommend walking or metro. The hostel itself isn't so wow for me, the bathrooms weren't the cleanest, my first night's room was dim and creepy, the toilet wouldn't stop running, and the rooms weren't so clean either. Conveniently near Termini station but a walk to the nearest sights, not too bad though. :)
Location was great, staff was the best I've ever seen, and it's very secure, you need to pass from lots of locks, however you need your own lock for lockers. I would definitely recommend here. But some facilities had problems for example there was no light in one toilet, and around some beds there are no electricity plugs.
Really friendly and helpful staff. Rooms were cleaned daily and beds were comfortable. Great location near Termini Train Station and easy walk to most sights around the city, though would recommend taking the metro to the Vatican but easy to catch from Termini and cheap. Good restaurants and cafes around the area.
Amazing place! I loved everything, the breakfast, the location, the place...
Please add more clothes hanger in the shower room. One is not enough for towel and clothes.
They do give you 4 keys to enter the hostel and one of them you have to giggle a lot. But the location is very near the metro and overall the hostel is good.
Great location ... Easy walk to all the sights and super close to the central station. Good kitchen and supermarket is just down the road. Not much atmosphere though as there isn't a proper common area just the kitchen and dining area
Good hostel but individual lights at each bed would go a long way... esp for early morning departures when you don't want to disturb others. Awesome staff, very helpful
Very close to Termini station and easy to find. We were able to walk to the coleseum, pantheon, trevi fountain, and the spanish steps. Facilities were clean, hot water in the showers.
the lock out hours are not the best some days i like to come back for a mid afternoon break luckily it seemed flexible as somedays i came back early and was never confronted about it. the bathrooms could do with a refurbish they were a little run down and could use some updating and a deep clean. they were kept nice by the cleaners though. the all you can eat pizza and pasta nights are good value and the breakfast pastries are AMAZING!! The atmosphere is great and it's easy to make friends.
Hostel is easy to locate from termini station, just about 10 mins walk away. The room was clean overall. But one of the bathroom floor was flooded and congested with water, and that was the only downside. Other than that, it's a decent place to stay, given its price.
I've stayed here in dorms overnight a few times. It offers a good price for its proximity to Termini (and the library) and is generally very clean. Beds are comfortable, and there have always been plugs available. Bring your own towel and small lock for the cubby spaces. Rooms on the ground floor are louder at night, and not all dorm rooms have a bathroom in the room itself. Tiny elevator is convenient for bags. Can't access the dorms 10am-3pm, but can leave/retrieve luggage during those times.

Very good hostel with incredibly helpful staff providing invaluable advice. Whilst it is located near the station this is more a hindrance than anything as it takes ages to walk to the attractions.
Good location for getting to and from railway station and reasonable price (for Rome). Never got to see much of breakfast since up and off too early on each day.
