Ok hostel. In quite a good location, round the corner from the train station and not too far to walk into central Rome. Rooms are safe, no proper lockers to put your belongings in. The staff were ok, but there is a lock out for changing the bed sheets from 10am - 3pm which isn't great if you don't want to leave early. Wifi was good and worked well. If you want a basic hostel at a reasonable price then this is ok, but not if you're wanting all the trimmings.
We didint like freedom traveller very much..It was a bit dirty, especially the bathroom...additionally, there was a problem with the water and we had no water for a couple of hours almost every day...the location was very good, near the city centre...
Had a great stay. Everyone was extremely helpful and it was easy to meet people. Would definitely stay there again.
Very clean. Not the most popular hostel but it depends who you meet there. Staff are great and very helpful. Beds squeak a lot and shower/bathroom facilities not the best. Building could use modernization.
I would say that this is an average hostel. What its got going for them are the friendly and helpful day staff and the location (5 min walk from the train/metro/bus). Its relatively close to all sites within walking distance as well. Common area is quite small but there is an outdoor terrace to socialise... Closes at 10pm.
Overall my experience at Freedom traveller was average. It is in an easy location to Termni Train station, making it very accessible and easy to get around Rome and to the airport. Your rooms a very secure though you have to use about 6 keys to get to your room and there aren't any lockers for your bag in the room.
Bathrooms were dirty and constantly had wet floors. The air conditioner leaked water all over the floor. Staff were lovely and friendly.

Really close to the train station and walking distance to most of the touristic sites. The breakfast is poor.
We stayed on in the separate building that has rooms, since we had take a private room. the place is a very short walk away, and has good security! rooms are clean and bathrooms were nice! overall, i liked the rooms and place a lot. will definitely go there again
Good hostel. Safe, lots of keys required to get into your room (4 different keys from the front door to your room!), good lockers, spacious rooms. Bathrooms were a letdown - showers very difficult/impossible to get on the right temperature, sprays everywhere except on your body, at times the water just stopped completely so I couldn't wash out the shampoo in my hair, or the shaving cream on my face. Very inconvenient! Good location near Rome Termini.
Very nice hostel, conveniently close to the train station. The breakfast is small but they warn you of that so it's still better than nothing. Rooms are clean, wifi is strong and there's multiple bathrooms on each floor.
It's inside an old building that could look creepy and empty, but the hostel has a good location if you arrive at Termini station.

Do not stay at this Hostel! The bathrooms are a disgrace, there is mould and grime everywhere and we were staying on the second floor and couldn't have a shower in the morning because there was no water. When I asked I was told to wait till other people on the lower floor finished showering! WTF!?! Also there is a lock out period, you can't go to your room between 10am and 2pm staff were also rude and had private conversations while serving me and took forever! After one night I left. Beware!
Everything was OK but hot (also cold) wather some days in the morning, I guess that it was because of the remodeling works. Small breakfast but it includes a very very nice croissant :) The staff was great and they speak a lot of languages.
Great place to stay, will definitely stay here again
I booked one single room, it was in a different building from the main one but the room was just great! The toilet was very clean and I only had to share it with one more person.
The shower and bathroom were pretty gross.
Good hostel - you get what you pay for. Close to train and walking distance to main sights. Friendly and helpful staff. Very social hostel - we had a great Saturday night out. Bathrooms could do with a good scrub! One guy actually got locked in the bathroom when we were there!
Staff very helpful and easygoing, a realy nice place location is good just 3 minuts walk from termini station. even walking around is not so bad like 20 min to tourist located stuff. Rooms are great there a bathroom attached to each room. Breakfast was not much a hot drink from the machine and a croissant. great and cheap food just across the street. and there's a kitchen too. On the whole a great place and I recommend for all travelers.
