Great hostel! Easy to come and go from/to the airport. Fifteen minutes walk to the best points in Ocean Drive and lots of entertainment besides a nice breakfast. The only bad thing is that is a lot of work to few people in the reception and when you need it you have to wait long sometimes. About the bad reviews: keep in mind it’s a hostel not a 5 stars hotel!!!! The place is outstanding!! I recommend it.

I really liked the 4 sleeper room in which I stayed. Each bunk, was a cosy and private berth with its own personal light and power points for charging and there was a locker for my stuff. I had a non-pool facing room, which means it was quiet which was great since I got up early every day to go scuba diving. The partiers partied and us sleepers slept and so everyone was happy! Thanks Freehand. I would like a power point in the lockers to charge stuff while I'm out, otherwise completely happy!

I really liked it there. The only thing i wasn't too thrilled about was breakfast and the cleaning personnel. For breakfast, there were only Cuban pastry and apples a well a coffee and tea. I missed yogurts and cheese and eggs. Also the cleaning lady didn't exchange towels everyday. Otherwise good

GREAT HOSTEL!...VERY CONVENIENT LOCATION, GOOD BEDS AND AWESOME ATMOSPHERE SPECIALLY AT THE POOL AND SURROUNDING AREA...

Very nice hostel that feels like it was designed by someone who has a lot of hostelling experience themselves. Good, well-kept facilities. The only downside is that on the weekends they open the place up as a cocktail bar for the public so there is loud music/voices until the early hours of the morning.

Clean, good swipe card security and lockers in the room. The location seems a little out of the city, it takes a 20min walk to get to the city mall. Nice pool. OK part of the city.

Impossible to use de pool , the music volume was so loud that there was no way to relax , read or even hear each other talk! Night staff unfriendly and slow. I ended up paying $4 for reason I don´t understand.

It is an amazing hostel! We met al lot of people we are keeping touch with and had such a great time! The hostel was clean, it had a pool, offered a little breakfast. You can walk to the beach in a few minutes, it's just one block away. Though you have to expect weird people, because it is still a hostel, i would definitly come back!

I really enjoyed my stay at Freehand! The staff was friendly, the room was really clean and the bed was awesome! Really liked the location, too. Didn't use the facilities because I was rushing, but I saw the outdoor area to play and swim and really liked it!

Except for the fact that rooms/beds are placed as dorms like usual hostels, this place is pretty much a hotel. The lobby, the inner yard, staffs, all are great and goo ambience too,,, but is priced as such as well.

A very good hostel with a bunch of facilities, as bike rental, pool, ping pong, bar and so on. LThey could just let the ppl open their room windows in order to make some clean air jump in...it refresh the entire ambient after a night all together! Good location tho! 3 min away from the beach! 15 by feet in order to get to some nightlife or open air shopping mall!

Brilliant Hostel, lots of things to do, great backyard for breakfast under palm trees, the pool and lobby / lounge area are great as well and the rooms / beds were very clean, comfortable and large. Not that you would spend a lot of time there anyway, the beach is one block away, walking to the center of South Beach takes about 20min, a cab is faster and still cheap. Only negative? No alcohol in the garden / backyard. Unless they sell it to you. That's just lame. It's Miami, let people drink!
