when I was booking the place, I looked under facilities and it said kitchen....but it never mentioned that there is no stove. I have a very serious health problem and its very important for me to cook my own food, and I wasnt really able to do that because of the stove situation....which is crucial for me. Also, when I looked at the rates they were a certain amount, and then I never saw it mentioned anywhere that there was going to be a 14.5 % tax.....added on...If knew, I wouldnt book.

The showers are tiny and I didn't have any hot water. The staff were great, nothing to complain there. Everything seemed overpriced compared to the quality.

Decent hotstel, clean and excellent location. The only thing I did not like is the very late check in which is 3pm, but I was able to leave my luggage there.

Great hostel with a cool little cafe attached! The staff went out of their way to help out. A great place to stay!

The hostel is located very conveniently. The staff is very friendly, and due to the small size of this hostel, there is a nice atmosphere in the small common area. You will quickly get to know the other hostel guests. On the downside, the hostel interior is somewhat scruffy. In my rooms, the lockers where not properly assembled, rendering them useless, and the bunk beds were not very stable. It seems they bought the cheapest bunk beds on sale, which make a lot of noise.

Good hostel, only complaints would be the quality of the beds, very thin mattress on wire base

Room was slightly cold and I only noticed the heater too late -- my fault, because of jet lag. Perhaps a verbal reminder would have helped. Otherwise staff were great. I told staff that the mattress was in need of pumping up.

The floor creaks with every step and the beds make noise at the slightest movements. But for the price and acessibility, it is worth it.

Very clean and quiet place, about 2 blocks from subway. Would definitely stay there again when in Boston!

Very lovely hostel, worked perfectly for a one night stop in Boston. Staff very friendly and very helpful, if will go to Boston again, will aim to stay here. Location very easy, just by North station so as central as you want to be, free basic breakfast which will keep you going until lunch :)

Not a bad Hostel. The location is close to a train station and about 15 minutes from the airport. It's easy to get there. The staff was very friendly and helpful, better than most Hostels. The biggest down side is that the hostel is inside an old structure and it shows. the rooms are not bad, but not great and the same can be said for the common area and the showers. the beds were clean. All in all I'd say they charge slightly too much for what you get, but its clean/safe/well run.

The mattresses suck. Alot. Comparable to a deflating air mattress or a very flat mattress. Annddd it's right atop many bars, so, be prepared for lots of noise late at night till about 3 AM.

too small a heater for such a big room. strangers, not registered residents, staying. next to north station, great location. price for nearly all additional service, such as luggage storage. maybe a smart way to run a business, but is it a good way to run a hostel? could tell that the owner has an mba degree

Solid- about what I expect from a hostel. Clean for the most part except the showers were on the dirty side and I saw a roach in one. Both front door and each room door has its own security code. Staff was friendly and even let my friend store their bag all day without planning on actually staying the night.

While it was my first time staying in a hostel, I think it'd be safe to say it'll be the last as well. I enjoyed the location on Friend Street Hotel, close to the T and downtown area, as well as the interaction I had with people from several different countries who are now friends, but the serious lack of cleanliness will not have me coming back.
