THEY HAVE BED BUGS! Don\'t stay here unless you want to take home lots of bites and an infestation! They turn off their \"free wifi\" at 6pm so actually most of the time you are in the hostel you have no wifi. There is no security. They only have one key per room, which means that once one person is in the room, anyone can walk in and out whether they are staying there or not, and people in the hostel were talking about all the stuff they had stolen from outside stores. The baggage room doesn\'t lock ei

It sucked. Smelled bad. One staff sounded rude. If not for the people I met, I would've left but that's not related to what the hostel has given me.

The neighbourhood was slightly dodgy. There were lots of men hanging around outside. However the metro was straight across the street which was handy. It was within walking distance of the Sacre Couer but not to the middle of town. The first night we were in a room with no lock on the door. The other two nights the room had a shared shower, of which there was only 1 for a lot of people, so expect to line up. On the last night we saw a mouse in the room. The staff were very nice and helpful.

Really close to metro and Monmarte. Fast food restaurants are just around the corner. Morning market right below the metro way. But funny thing is there is no toilet in bath room. Staff are really helpful and nice.

The en-suite shower room in the room I stayed in is very small. The system of \'the last person to leave has the only key to the room\' is hopeless, there is no security for personal effects. The baggage room has no lock, also poor security. The blankets on the beds have not covers/sheets, so every guest uses the same blanket, this is poor hygiene. Apart from these points, I liked the hostel. It is good value for money.

This hostel isn't as creepy as the reviews. As for me, the location is perfect because it is located right in front of Metro station (where metro is the main transport for visiting most of touristy destinations in Paris); I came back at 01.00 and it was safe so far. For the amount you pay, it is definitely value of money. However, the breakfast was only one small bread and you have to pay 1 EUR for the coffee/chocolate.

everything is fine with me. the location is very convenient since it is just beside the metro station. except for a little crowded room space, I really have spent good days and nights there.

It was pretty much what I expected from the reviews. I would put here again despite the low review. It was just a cheap bed in an expensive city.

It wasn't the nicest hostel I've stayed at but for the price it was worth it. No towels were included. The location wasn't in the nicest area of Paris either.

hostel was average, in good location close to gare du nord and with metro station just right outside the door. stayed in a 5 bed room, triple bunk top bed, was difficult to sleep to say the least haha. area may seem dodgy but turned out to be alrite if mind own business really, prob more intimidating for female travellers - alot of men trying to sell things beside metro.

The kitchen was always dirty, and the bathroom as well. The location is awfull. The room was quite small... you feel like a "canned sardine" sleeping there. If you want to improve the hostel, you have to put people to cleaned :)

I had booked a room without a bathroom, but that room was having electrical problems, so they upgraded me for free to a different room (with more people) that had its own bathroom. There was a little bit of confusion about which beds were taken, which was kind of a hassle. I would make sure to leave something on your bed so that they don't make the same mistake with you. The staff was very helpful though, and I'd stay here again.

You can't find anything cheaper and better than Friends Hostel in Paris. It may be in a slightly not so posh neighborhood of Paris, but it is bang in the city center, and there's a metro station right in front of the hostel. Plus there are lots of cheap places to eat close by. All in All, it's an OK place for a couple of nights.
