We had an amazing stay in Riga and at Frank's hostel. Travelling as a large group we might have been quite loud and obnoxious at times, however the staff dealt with it easily. Only minor comment is that we were hanging out in the living room with a bunch of other people and after the free beers we started chanting a little (it was around 7 pm) and were frequently summoned to be quiet because people were sleeping.. That is not friendly nor fun. Overall great value, we loved the town of Riga!

I stayed in this hostel for 3 nights. I have stayed in many hostels all over Europe and this was the worst I've ever stayed in. The beds are terrible, the showers were cold and on about a 10 second timer. The staff weren't friendly or helpful at all. The hostel has a really grimy bar that seemed to attract a very strange crowd, full of stag parties every night. I had my iPhone stollen from my locker on my last night there. I have met people in Tallinn who had the same bad experience there.

The weekend I was there, there were about 6 stag party groups. Chaos. Some staff were good, some not so friendly. All the staff are women and they have to put up with a lot of rubbish from drunken guys but they manage.

It was quite good hostel.So they were hospitality.They welcome us with a beer..:))all the facilities were great and bar too.Also it is in the downtown.So close to the everywhere.I definetly recommend this hostel

Why is this place rated so highly?! Main reason I gave it such low marks is the fact they have a BED BUG INFESTATION. I've spent the last three days washing and steaming all my clothes and finding it difficult to sleep because of how badly I have been munched by them. We saw them crawling on our stuff on our final night (photos on Tripadvisor). It smells like a farmyard/brewery. The showers are rubbish. The breakfast is the worst we've ever seen. Plus, if you care - stag do central.

good location, near everything, very good indication of a typical restaurant, worth the money.

The girls who work here were brilliant. Helpful and fun people. The stairs need to be replaced as a matter if urgency in my opinion. Carrying laugage up there or walking when drunk is a bit of a challenge. Would recommend this place to all! Would go again.

Fantastic hostel. Located in the heart of Riga with all pubs/clubs just minutes walking distance away. The hostel had sky sports for the champions league final and a cheap bar too. Rooms had lockers for possessions and comfortable beds. Showers could be better though as some had no power and others didn't have warm water! A severely minor issue that is completely outweighed by the positives. Cracking hostel.

A wonderful place, located just in the heart of Old Riga with friednly staff and all the facilities you need ;).

Had a great stay at Friendly Fun Franks, the hostel was clean, staff were friendly and helpful and the atmosphere was very good :)

Unfortunately I was just one day there, so I couldn't have a wider experience, but everything went out great! Great value for the price.

Fun bar, excellent location, helpful & chill staff

The staff at Friendly Franks made us all feel very welcome and were very helpful during our stay. The building was kept clean and tidy and the welcome beer on arrival was a nice touch.

Good location, right in the middle of everything, staff is realy freindly and rooms are great.

Really fun place to stay. Would have stayed longer. Wifi does not work in the rooms though.

Nice place to stay guys. Don't lose the opportunity of a city tour with Arta.. Nice bar too.
