Maybe because I expected so much before I went there, It was not that good. The heater in the room we stayed didn't work very well to heat the entire room, and the mattress was not very comfortable. I still like the guests who live there, all of them are very nice and easy-going.

A really nice hostel with a great family feel to it. I definitely felt myself among friends. Good facilities. Nice kitchen. Wifi, computer and phone available. Good temperature control. Close to downtown and public transport. A really lovely stay. Thanks Danny and Leah!

This hostel is just 5 blocks or so from Downtown. While restaurants are a bit sparse, don't overlook the tunnels interconnecting the buildings of downtown which host some options for food and latte's. A search for Wendy's turned up a number of options and a way to travel out of the weather and wind via these tunnels. The transit system (Get a QCard if you can) can get you to most of the attractions and cab fare is usually 10 or 20 dollars to even the southern end Museum District.

It is a very quirky and charismatic Hostel that encompasses all aspects of what it is like to be within a 'family'. In this respect you automatically feel comfortable and confident in your choice.

This hostel had such a friendly warm feel to it. From the other travelers to the hosts, everyone was helpful and respectful and really nice. The hostel had a great recycling system and was clean in every regard. I would definitely return and recommend this hostel.

This is a fantastic place for backpackers spending a few days in Houston. Leah and Danny (the owners) are absolutely lovely, serious stars. They accommodated our change in plans and were sweet enough to move us to another room when we spent a restless night with a heavy snorer in the dorm. The hostel is on a safe street and close enough to walk to the downtown area. We were given extra pillows and blankets and the hairdryer for use is a god send to female backpackers. Stay here, its like home!
