I spent a great time in the hostel. The staff was incredible, really kind of us, helpful. The rooms were very clean and the breakfast was correct. I'd recommend the hostel.

The hostel is fine, but nothing particular. We got what we expected- the rooms were good, it was clean, the breakfast was fine, the staff was ok. Everything was fine, but nothing was spectacular, the hostel misses some character. Another problem is the location, it is situated in kind of a "dodgy" street so we didn't really feel safe walking down that street in the night.

I've passed 15 great days in this hostel that is very nice!Cheap,clean,very close to Gara Du Nord and Eroilor Metro Stop,the staff (3 beautiful and kind girls) is wonderful very friendly,kind and nice.Bathroom is nice and clean rooms too.You have free breakfast included,free towels,free all-day coffee&tea,free wireless connection,free maps,free internet pc position,kitchen with all the equipment,tv and dvd player,all this for ONLY 7 EURO BY NIGHTS IN DORMITORY.What more?BEST HOSTEL IN BUCHAREST!

A great hostel with honest and reliable staff who are always helpful .Breakfast is modest but I was able to have poached eggs and ham each morning because there are a couple of corner shops within a minutes walk and a large Carrefour less than a mile away. The hostel is within a ten walk to the national theatre and Salle de Radio, one of the most impressive concert halls I have ever seen though a taxi is needed for longer jouneys especially if you want to go out dancing.walk

Nice hostel. 20 minutes to walk to old town. hot showers! good breakfast :)

Close to the train station, easy to find. Staff is helpful and can show you where to go for the sites and good food

Perhaps no smoking inside rule is required especially in the kitchen :)

Friend's Hostel is a bit far from the center of the city where the night life is, but it is only a 20 minute walk, so it's not so bad. I would recommend only walking with friends as the neighborhood is a little sketchy, but again not so bad. Overall, my stay was nice and I met some fun people.

The hostel was clean and comfortable and in a good location, but the staff were far too busy having fun in the common room to answer any questions or greet guests. I opened the door several times for people who stood there knocking and ringing unanswered, and was repeatedly woken during the night by more of the same. Also they couldn't change a 50L note (30L for the bed). They kept saying they'd have change later - I tried to pay three times, having to ring the bell for service of course!

Staff at the hostel were amazing - they could not have been more friendly or helpful. Beds, toilets and showers were all good, and a clean and well stocked kitchen and common area. About 20-25 mins walk from old town / city centre, and 10 mins walk from supermarket. Secure lockers and 24 hour reception. Would more than happily return here next time. Thanks guys!

.. the staff were amazing & speak perfect English. You can walk to the main area's all in less than a half an hour. Next time I think I'll figure out the bus!! Thanks Blake & Everyone.. 10 out of 10 to survive the crazy Bucharest! :o)

I was very pleasant surprise by the staff hospitality,there were very very nice persons willing to give me everything they could,I was realy impress by this two guys brother and sister! Also all the conditions offered by the hostel are excellent! I will definitely go to this hostel everytime that I will come in Romania! Thank you very much guys! Till next time: Numai bine! Very nice and clean hostel, big kitchen, nice but small common area, 1 computer to use and wifi. 2 showers and 2 toilets for all the rooms, but I never had to wait. Nice map for each host. Staff more than helpful. The neighbourhood is quit shady though... With prostitutes around the corner at night. Don't walk there alone at night. Close to the train station, the metro and the big grocery store.

a comfortable hostel 5-10 mins walk from gare du nord, the area is generally considered dodgy but probably only unsafe at night - beware taxi touts following you from the train station too. breakfast was good. don't miss the free (tips only) walking tour starting at 6pm during summer. enjoy bucharest!

Despite a major bugs problem I had my first two nights, I would still go back (call me a masochist), because I think the bugs problem was just a random thing, not a regular problem, because the hostel is actually very good, and because I felt I was very well treated by all the people who work there. Even the location was excellent for me, very close to the train station, and a short walk from the center. Decent enough breakfast, reliable internet connection (important for some of us).

Friends hostel is one of the better hostels I've been to. It's located very close to the main train station Gara de Nord and many of the formal and informal bus stations are also close by. The staff is very fun and friendly - especially Blake who went out of his way to help us, he's a real doll! The clientèle is mixed and we met many interesting people. The only problem (if u r a nonsmoker) was people smoking a lot too close to the entrance-as always in east Europe, but they're working on it :)
