Nice, clean and friendly staff

this place is very nice - especially since it is so cheap... the place is nice, with breakfast and a garden to hang out with other tourists... the location is not very central but very practical if you're traveling by train and wanna be near the train station... recommended!

They have a projector which you can use to watch movie with a group of people. Super cool!

Front desk staff wasn't particularly motivated. Upstairs showers are poorly designed and inundate the whole bathroom. On a positive note, internet connection is excellent. Hostel should get a credit card machine or find a way (there are plenty of internet-based solutions) to accept card payments.

* This hostel is in the middle of one of the roughest neighbourhoods in Bucharest. * The Romanian who booked me in was verging on rude. * My room smelt like something was rotting in it. Upon complaining I was told it was because someone had come by bicycle and their stuff was wet. I asked to move but no other room was available. * Lockers are tiny and will only fit a few valuable items, unlike most hostels. * I booked out and went elsewhere. Life's too short for poor hostels.

Nice friendly staff, laid back atmosphere. Decent free breakfast. Somebody had a yappy dog next door, but the place is quiet otherwise. The music coming from the church behind it was very relaxing on the Sunday morning.

This is a great hostel to stay at if you are coming into the north gara. You can walk to the hostel easily from the north gara and catch a cab and navigate through the city easily. There is a great free walking tour near the People's Palace and the hostel staff can tell you about some good places to visit and give information about the walking tour. The kitchen was great for cooking and there was a small complimentary breakfast included already. I would stay here again if in Bucharest.

Administration system very disorganized. Only 8 dorm rooms but advertise 10 dorm rooms - confusing! I had booked for 5 nights and had printout but only registered as 4 nights on hostel spreadsheet. Only at end of webpage facilities that are unavailable. Had to move room to accommodate larger party and then bed subsequently given to another guest!

Nice place and staff but a bit of a walk to the centre

Location is kind of in the ghetto of Bucharest, 20-30 minute walk to city center. As a solo traveler, just make sure to be aware of your surroundings. I noticed more groups passing through, so not the best atmosphere. Definitely recommend going on the free walking tour which is offered in the morning and evening, they were more informative then hostel staff. If you have the time take a day trip out to Transylvania to see Dracula's castle! It was alright, not sure if I would return.

I booked a 3 pax bedroom and ended up sleeping in the attics. It was so low that I hit my head once. Definitely much worst than staying in multi pax dorms.

Owner Comment (Hide)
Thank you for your review, the 3 beds dorm is indeed in the attic, and part of the room is quite low, but not all the room. It's a matter of preferences.

Great hostel, a little far from the old city center, but still within walking distance. Very friendly staff, good toilets ads shower facilities.

A good location that is so easy to walk to from the train station. A really helpful and friendly American member of staff. A good chill out zone upstairs, free internet usage and a free breakfast in the morning. I would definitely recommend
