It has everything to be a great hostel. The location is excellent and the facilities are good, but the hostel is somehow abandoned.. If you need something you have to be lucky to find someone in the reception and sometimes I saw some guest waiting more than a hour for the staff. I would recomend if you travelling in a group because the hostel doesn't offer nothing in order to let you feel like at home or to get you to know others travellers.

Wonderful place. The location was ideal. The hostel was more like a large apartment. My private room was really charming. The bathrooms and toilets, guest kitchen and common area were very good. There was a washing machine the guests could use. Very clean and peaceful place. The staff was slightly reserved but OK. WiFi worked well, and there was also a PC.

Friends Hostel was more than I could ask for. The receptionist was a great guy and really helpful. It was centrally located in Oktogon square and it was easy to get around to all the major sites. Budapest is an amazing city and if you want a great value for your money, stay at friends hostel.

Great atmosphere! Usable kitchen was great. Quiet dorm. The showers did have water all over the ground, so my clothes got wet unknowingly cause there was no place to put them while showering. There was a mix-up about who was actually staying where that was disconcerting, but overall great place! I would definitely recommend it!

Adorable hostel in the Jewish district, very affordable tons of character! The staff made our stay unforgettable, "Palinka!" and we would recommend it to anyone going through Budapest. One of a kind and we will be back! There were great restaurants and bars in the area, with a metro stop around the corner, we loved the cozy atmosphere and enjoyed spending time with the staff. 100%!!

Hostel was very clean and had a nice atmosphere. Bed was comfortable with new linen and bathrooms were spacious and clean. It was a great location with a short walk to the center. Lots of kebab and Hungarian restaurants around hostel that aren't trying to rip tourists off. They had lots of information to look through about the city. Highly recommend the free walking tours. Can't comment on staffs helpfulness because we didn't ask any questions, but they were very friendly.

It was a great time to stay there. The staff was very friendly and helpful. But I think that would be nice if the recepsionist can open 24 hours.

The place is very close to the main tram line and to subway, not far away from major attractions. The hostel offer very good value what you get, though I have not compared to the other options. It is definitely worth staying in if you are in Budapest for a few days as a tourist.

Great location. Clean toilets and showers. Staff is very helpful. It was sort of empty during my stay, so can not guess how it feels to be among others. Still, it is a nice hostel.

A very ideal place to live, very clean, and very friendly. They have a kitchen, and compared to the compability, they have enough toilets.
