Aside from being difficult to find since the name of the hostel is different than it is on the web site (Lilliput and Friends rather than Friends Hostel) and some confusion about the street address, the accomodations worked perfect for our one night stay en route to Sorrento.

No wifi even though advertised as having this. Added tax on arrival which we were unaware of. One bathroom for 7 people! Long wait when you want to get going in the morning!!

This place is not a hostel but a b&b with no facilities and very rude staff. The room was very small with nowhere else to go so was trapped in the room.Would not recommend for anyone to stay here, there must be better places to stay in rome.We stayed in many hostels on our european trip and this was by far the worst accomodation.

Friends hostel was literally the best choice we could have ever made! They give you free breakfast coupons for an amazing bakery, Elena who ran our hostel was such a sweetheart and everything was as clean as could be. This isn't the type of hostel if you're looking for a huge party but after spending all day sight seeing in rome it was soo nice to come home to a safe clean and quiet place. Termini station is about a two minute walk so super convienant. Can;t say enough nice things LOVED IT!

Stayed here in 2006 and thought it was the same location since it had the same name. No, its now a new location, very disappointing. 3rd bed was not made up - no sheets or pillows. Found some pillows in a dresser but no sheets that I could find. Loft smelled very musty as well and the air freshener was very strong thru the rest of the room. Wasn't keen on having to walk 5 blocks for breakfast either. I had bragged about this hostel to friends, won't recommend anymore.

Disappointing,... although it isn't far from the Termini (Rome Rail station) the map did not indicate the correct location of the B&B, no signposting of the location. It advertises 24 hour check in our check in time on receipt was recorded at 8am, arrived 8am no staff, when she arrived sent us away until 11am, (after 12 overnight flight) no security, noisey, staff member not welcoming, made us feel like we were intruding, will not return or recommend.

A fantastic place to stay in Rome! Very well situated for the city's sites and only 5 minutes walk from the train station, very welcome after a long and hot journey! The hostel is very secure and very well kept too, being well appointed and very clean. The staff were very friendly and helpful, taking time to explain how to get around and recommending places to eat etc. It was also very reasonably priced too. We had a brilliant time and would not hesitate in recommending Lilliput/Friends! 100%!

During the whole stay at this hostel, the staff members show up just once: when I got to the hostel. Thereafter I never saw them again. Even when I wanted to have the key deposit back!!! They kept my 10 euro that I had previously paid as a deposit for the key... (the question is: did they steal this money or was it an unfortunate neglect? In any case I would never come back...

It is a very nice hostel, close to the train station and to the city centre. I spent one night and was the only guest, so the shared bathroom was instead private :) Breakfast is outside, in a coffee close to the hostel, very nice indeed. The only problem is that there is no internet connection inside the hostel although it says "free internet connection". I missed a very important deadline for my job because of it.

We arrived much later as we told the staff. Even though they waited for us and told us about everything important to know about the hostel and about Rome. (the recommended us an awesome pizzaria, right in the centre, but hidden from tourist) But there´s no common room, so the short time we´ve not been walking around in town, we stayed on our tiny room. No contact to other travelers. all in all good hostel.

This was a very pleasant hostel and we enjoyed it. It was a bit surprising when we were told that for the morning breakfast (consisint of a cup of coffee or tea and one piece of pastry) we have to walk 300 meters to a café on a busy square nearby. But it was actually nice, having your breakfast with the busy Italians buzzing here and there.. and it forced us to get up earlier, too :) The room was clean and nice, no street noise at night. Colloseum within walking desitance. Just nice!
