If you want truly personal attention and to make good friends, then this is the hostel for you. They are the most friendly and helpful people running this hostel, I felt like we'd been friends for a lifetime. They sincerely care about your comfort and contentment and go out of their way to help you make the most of your trip. All the amenities you need are available including a full kitchen, internet and bathroom. The location is very safe and quiet too. Can't wait to return.

I was really, really lucky that I could encoutner such nice people and a place!! The hosts, Leah and Danny, just like others commented, they are super friendly and awesome!! I was really nervous and tired as i was travelling alone in unknown place. But i felt completely loving houston right after i talked with them. Atmosphere was nice and room too. Very good location, the safest place that i had no problem walking alone in the night. whats more, budget traveller friendly price!

Great hostel. Leah and Danny are amazing, ready to help out where needed, offer tips and advice or just have a chat. The hostel is quite close to town, there are quite a few bars and shops nearby and they have bikes to borrow so it's easy for you to get around. Although the facilities are old, everything is clean, and the kitchen is stocked with communal food like bread, noodles and coffee to keep you going. I'd definitely stay again of passing through town.

Leah and Danny are awesome. The hostel is within walking distance to the downtown and the neoghbourhood is safe. I have met a lot of cool people during my one week stay and not to mentioned Leah and Danny, they were helpful and care about all the people who stay in their premises. Had some quality conversation with Leah and Danny and they make me feel like i am being at home. Never have to worry about being hungry in the midnight or when you wake up in the morning, kitchen always stocked up.

Don't miss this hostel if you want to have a good time in Houston. The stuff are really kind and helpful. They will assist you with all the information you want, and provide you some free fruits and snack. The local restaurants and bars are very nice, better than those in the city center.

Amazing hostel in a wonderful, historic area of Houston located just a 10-15 minute walk from downtown. The hosts are lovely people and do a great job of making you feel welcome. Upon arrival, Leah will give you the ins and outs of the Houston area, how to use the public transit, and all sorts of landmarks and places for you to see/ visit during your stay. The hostel is cozy and quiet, a great place to settle down to at night and meet other travelers and guests. Definitely recommend it.

The morning that I left, there was a roach in the bathroom. The hostel was kept very clean and I am sure the roach was the result of a wet room (the bathroom) in a hot climate (southern Texas). However, I just cannot abide bugs in my living area at all. Other than that, the stay was excellent.

Great place to stay and excellent value. The hostel lives up to its name, its really friendly and easy to meet people there. Friends hostel has the most amazing hosts Leah and Danny who have traveled the US and give lots of advice on other places to go. The hostel close to the bars and restaurants on Washington St and a 15 min walk to down town Houston. Will defiantly be coming back to this place next time im passing through!!

Loved this hostel. Leah and Danny were lovely people who could not have been more helpful. Our room was comfortable and the hostel was a nice environment. Leah bent over backwards for her guests and she just made our trip to Houston extra special. Would stay here again if I am ever in the area.
