Even they have lots of activities no real nice atmosphere-weird staff which makes fun of guests, even though staff seams to be cleaning all the time...its never really clean and there are animal in the kitchen

This hostel would actually be pretty good if they sorted out the beds, I have never in my life stayed on such an awful bunkbed and thin mattress. Everything else is good though! Nice vibe, big kitchen, great showers and a nice rooftop - but I wouldn't stay here again until they got new mattresses as it gave me such a bad back.

Good all round place, kitchen big enough to accommodate several people, get your own food box, plenty of showers and washing machines etc., kitchen's open 24 hours - that with the lounge is on its own floor so doesn't bother if you're trying to sleep. Place gets cleaned twice a day it seems. You do have to pay for WiFi but it's pretty cheap and there are 6 computers anyway to use for free. Could probably use some more forks and mugs though!

Worth staying just for the sheer fact the showers are excellent! The place is really clean too. Atmosphere is a bit weird but then again if you don't spend much time there it isn't worth worrying about.

In a good location, was a horrible rubbish smell when you entered the building no free WiFi who doesn't do free wifi

Good location. Bathrooms always clean and ready for use. Rooms small but clean. No free wi-fi, you have to pay for it or use the free internet computers located in the kitchen. Not very friendly messages about washing dishes and checking out on time.

Good location to queen street.close to public library which you can do all your Internet banking. There is free computers/Internet which is lovely but the anti virus/security had expired. Staff are friendly and helpful regarding directions, setting up your IRD number. Etc etc. A lot of long term guests here, so depends what you are looking for. Works well If you want long term as there is weekly rates. Very clean. .reception closes at midnight.

The staff were quite rude. The sheets on the bed were worn and stank of sweaty grease. It was very noisy. The bathrooms were very average. Perk was the great location.

Good hostel, kitchen was a tad small. You get a locker each which was great as I don't think enough hostels supply this. Had a few problems when we wanted to change the dates of our booking and ended up being charged a lot to do this. A lot of guest are long term and if you are on a working holiday visa it's a good place to stay as the staff are very helpful when it comes to the paper work side.

Beds actually kill your back, showers are amazing and stuff but it's so clicky with people that have been there long term, this hostel could be really worth it but the beds need to be comfortable and rooms need to be bigger as there so small an all you hear is doors banging all night, squeekiest beds I've ever been on don't expect a good sleep

The security in general is good (they change the code every week). However, my dorm's door was never locked (because of the people in my room). Much more could be done regarding the cleanliness (especially the kitchen). Great location and the staff was cool.

Very few backpackers where staying when I was there. Many students and young people on a work visa who are in employment in and around Auckland. A big number of young people who just hang around, appearing doing nothing. All and all, beds are limited for visiting backpackers.

Good, clean hostel with friendly staff. Not your biggest party spot. Awesome location though!
