Our stay in this was great, nice atmosphere, really staff. The were kept very clean, the bathrooms. The beds were a little bit rickety and he were old but apart from that, everything was fine.

It was an okay experience, nothing really special, there's wifi but you have to pay for it. And the hostel is not really clean but location wise its exellent. Staffs are friendly and helpful as well though.

The hostel is ok, not the best or the worst. The toilet is appropriate but the smell in the building is not adequate at all.

Good hostel. I would say that just the keyboards of the computers are were dirty.

Some of the staff were really rude (especially one lady from the reception and the guy who cleans the kitchen). The hostel really lacks atmosphere. The place is alright if you stay only 1 night, since it's clean and right in the city center.

This was the first hostel I stayed at in New Zealand, and it was a perfect first. The staff is very friendly, the location is superb, and the facilities are decent. The showers are hot and the rooms are comfortable, and there are small lockers in the rooms for your valuables. They also have events every night which is good for meeting people. Everything is cleaned twice daily and it is generally a very clean place. I would definitely stay here again!

Nice hostel. Nothing special.

Location, location, location. Frienz backpackers have best location. You won't spend a dollar with transportation to Auckland's main sites such as Queen St. (Just around the corner), Sky tower, the Viaduct area, Auckland Art Gallery, Auckland's University, also K Road and Auckland Domain. It has the perfect atmosphere if you traveling with friends or by yourself. It got Plenty of activities such as Pub night (Where you win a free drink and prizes are drawn), free icecream and free barbecue.

Perfect location right in the city! 5 min walk to the sky tower and the Main Street with tons of shopping. Countdown just down the street. Lovely staff really enjoyed my stay here!

FRIENZ is located in a good location in central Auckland. The near Albert Park was a nice escape from the noisy city centre. My large dorm room was crowded, due to the concert on the weekend, the window was facing the busy Victoria Street. The facilities where alright. Clean toilets and showers. Less the Kitchen area. Staff was friendly. Atmosphere was 'backpacker-boring'. :)

Located as centrally as possible, which is convenient for seeing the city. However, our room overlooked the street and the curtains blocked out little to no sunlight, so all the drunken ramblings of people on the street were heard late at night, before being woken quite early by the sun coming straight in through the window. Despite that, we had a great time at this hostel and would recommend this hostel to others who were planning on visiting Auckland.

Only stayed here for one night but I'm quite glad - lacked any decent atmosphere but was perfect for just sleeping in if you're busy during the days. Really in the heart of Auckland so location was good and you need a code to get in the door so it's all very secure. Beds weren't very sturdy though and there was like 1 electricity socket in the whole room for over 10 people.
