The atmosphere around the full moon party was amazing. I met great people nd wnjoyed the music played at the bar every night. The beds were suite uncomfortable, but for the amount of time you spend in them it's not a huge deal. The bathroom was also very small for the mount of people staying there. I would recommend this hostel to others, especially during full moon! Oh and the staff man, Ken, he is amazing!!

This hostel was one of the worst one I've been in. I felt trapped and confined in the room. There is one walk way about a meter wide and in between every bed there is absolutely no space to roll out from. The beds were separated by a plywood plank less than thirty cm tall. There is no space to put your luggage or your backpack. The AC is running at top capacity but is sill unable to accomindate 22 people in the room. I felt like a pig in a pen. The owner has no consideration to travelers.

Owner Comment (Show)
Thanks for your comments, we do appreciate constructive criticisms as always! Your statements are partly incorrect or pointless, however, sir, and I would like to take the time to address your issues! Yes, the walkway is about a meter wide, perhaps a little more...? No, there is no space to "roll out" of some beds because they are next to another bed, that is self-explanatory and quite misleading of you. If you really need to roll out of bed then you could take one of the edge beds :) Yes, the beds are separated by a "plank less than thirty cm tall" so you do not have to stare into the eyes of the stranger/friend sleeping next to you (unlike many other "hostels" in Haad Rin!). We decided not to put "planks" from floor to ceiling on each bed to avoid the unpleasant claustrophobic feeling of sleeping in a coffin. There is *ample* storage space under the beds for luggage, absolutely loads, as well as free lockers (quite big lockers in the room you stayed in) for smaller bags, etc. The AC is *not* running at full capacity; if it was your review would be all about how it was too cold :) Guests adjust the AC by themselves all the time as I find when I come into the room and one of them is off, the other extremely cold, for example. I must also say that I remember you as being moody, un-engage able, and completely soporific, and so perhaps you felt the need to regain some of your lost energies by stealing some of ours. I'm sorry you didn't enjoy your stay with us, I truly am. It is our aim to positively influence peoples' lives by experiences in whichever tiny way possible... I would say next time come back with more of an open mind :) Take care on your travels and hope to see you soon!

The Fubar Hostel is located very close to the famous Full-Moon-Beach! So its good if you are going to party somewhere in Ko Phagnan. It gets loud at night as they have a bar and play technosounds till late at night. The facilities are average, no computer but its cheap. The Hostelrunner is cool

So close to beach perfect for full moon party, only down side is there is sand every where seats, beds, etc fine for a few nights but drives you crazy after 5 nights. Food is excellent when you can get served.

I looooved Fubar! Had the best time ever in your hostel! It was really nice, and the vibe is extraordinary good :). I would definitely stay again in your hostel! I only recommend to maybe clean the toilets more often and also provide toilet paper... But besides that I really enjoyed my stay :).

If you love house music stay here. The co-owners Joe and Guy are legit DJ's that I'd easily pay to watch throw down back home in San Francisco. At night while pregaming in the main bar area, they make sure the beats are right along with making sure you're having a good time. Location of this hostel is pretty much the best possible place to stay for Full Moon party. Only knock is the bathrooms aren't cleaned as much as they should. If you're traveling alone, this hostel is money!

As soon as we arrived we were welcomed into the fubar family. During our week here we met so many great people and the party never stopped. All the staff were really helpful and made sure that we had everything we needed. If you like dancing all night to great music then stay here!

if your looking for somewhere for full moon or new years you wont find a better place, the big dorms are comfortable enough, air conditioned and fine beds, joe plays the best tunes you'll find on the island and probably provides about the best hospitality you could find aswell, a 10 second walk from the sunset beach where the main beach party is, everyone i stayed with loved the place

The downstairs dorm is horrible. Flooded toilets damp and smelly. The upstairs dorm was fantastic. The female employee is an amazong cook and any food you order at the hostel is very very good. Excellent location as full moon party is actually a one minute walk from the beach. The common area is noce and relaxing, but horribly non-private. An after party is held in the common area after full moon that turns the common area into a night club of sorts.

Hey! Thanks for your feedback, we appreciate any comments you have to leave us :) Glad you enjoyed your stay with us! We'd just like to let you know we've upgraded the toilets in all dorms now with nice wooden floors and doors, so you no longer have to stand in shower water, which is lovely!! Also, regarding the common area... it's a COMMON AREA:P Take it easy, hope to have you back again soon. Thanks, Fu Fam x
