This place was amazing right near the beach and all the good parties full moon is so close you can crawl back if need be lol. Joe and Alice are great hosts and the hostel itself throws some good parties. I had lost my debit card before arriving and Joe let me stay a week for free, unheard of! Its been over a week and im still here, just cant bring myself to leave.

Best hostel I've stayed at in Asia! Alice and Joe who own the hostel were really friendly. The parties at Fubar were better than on the beach. Relaxing place in the day and right5 next to the beach. Just don't get caught with your iPhone out infront of Maurissa or you won't here the end of it.

Third FMP and third time staying here. Best hostel ever in every aspect. Looking forward to going back. Joey and Alice are such kind, friendly and helpful staff.

Amazing place to stay, great atmosphere, some of the best parties I've had in my life, lovely staff and definitely an experience I'll never forget...

Awesome hostel! Perfect for what I came to Koh Phangan to do...Party. Quite good staff, showers were average, but was well worth it!

Location is hands down the best. For a solo traveler, I was able to meet lots of other travelers and it made it worth it. There was an awesome NYE buffet and bar/lobby. However, the 6 bed attic room was far too low and cramped for a tall person, the bathroom/shower (same thing) were deplorable with no hot water (it is bearable though). I am NO diva either--it was akin to camping rather than a hostel. For the premium cost paid during the full moon party/NYE it was not worth the value.

If you need a place to crash for full moon that's SUPER close to the party and you don't really care about how clean it is or if it's overpriced, this is the place for you. The other guests were cool and it was a good atmosphere to meet other travelers. This is probably the only selling point of the hostel. The 6 person room and the 16 person room share a dirty bathroom, the shower is cold water only. If you are partying 24-7 then it's ok, I only stayed 3 nights. Alice could be friendlier.

Pros: Great atmosphere, easy to meet people. Joe and Alice, the owners, are awesome. Very laid back during the day, and good party life at night. RIGHT next to the beach. Close to a clinic/pharmacy/ATM. Offers day trips if you get tired of the beach. Cons: Not very comfortable, but youre backpacking, get over it. Loud music at night if you wanna sleep, but your on Koh Phangan for full moon sleeping shouldnt be a priority. Showers arent that great. VERY exp for xmas time.

Fubar is a feasible place to stay if all you care about is to be near to the beach where the Full Moon Party takes place. Other than that, I found this Hostel to be very poor. I have never stayed in such a dirty place. I think within the 5 nights I have been there, they did not clean the bed- or bathroom once. Consequentially, everything was full of sand, hairs and damp or wet. The facilities aren't great either (specifically the bathrooms - urghs!), but I don't have the space here to elaborate.

I came back to Thailand specially so I could experience FUBAR again–Yes, it's that amazing! I had an even better time than I did before. You can't ask for a better location, better people, or a better environment. Stay here if you like having a good time with good people. They have world class DJs spinning on the decks nearly every night. I cannot express how much love I have for Fubar and its crew. They make you feel like family. Thank you for an another amazing time, and I know I'll be back.

Hostel is right next to haad rin beach. the rooms were so crammed and i saw it being cleaned once. it was so dusty. The shower was awful. it was just cold water. the water didnt go down the drain so it stayed in the bathroom for a few hours. the shower is in the same room as the toilet and therefore always smelt of sewage. during the hostel after party alice would let strangers would use the dorm toilet even though there was a toilet near the bar. so security was jeapordised.

Absolute great place to stay right in the centre couldn't get much closer to the Beach. Had great facilities to chill out or carry on partying in the Bar for as long as u wanted during or after the Full Moon Party!!!! Glad I made the right choice where i stayed for Christmas 2011 they were so welcoming and made it special for everyone.

If you are going to the full moon party the location cannot be better, staff is nice and they have everything you may need. The bathroom is quite poor, the dorm where I stayed was q and the loud music coming fom the beach didn't actually bother... Just know that, If you book through Hostel World, you'll receive an e-mail from them requiring a deposit of 50% of the balance due.

What makes fubar special is the experience. They are right @ the haad rin beach, you make thousands of friends and creat stories for your whole life, have some great time, play the soccer tournament, go drinking, play guitars. And u end up with the huge celebration at the FMP. The facilities are not the best, but i dont regret a single moment for staying there. Alice that works there is the sweetest girl ever, she is always smiling and ready to help you. Go with you mind open and you wont regret

Perfect location, 30 seconds away from the party! Incredibly welcoming staff, great athmosphere! Bathrooms are not the best though ( shower and toilet next to each other, floors that get flooded and dirty quickly when the 22 person dorm is full ) Highly reccomended anyways!

Staff were great! Like the bar, and lounge area for chilling. really good location for Full Moon Party. It wasn't the cleanest of places. You stay here for the party!!
