Wonderful. We stayed in two Japanese style rooms and very enjoyable. Very nice furniture, and all very cared about. I could see the Fuji peak from my terrace, and also while bathing in the onsen or having breakfast. Unforgetable. The location is a bit far away of every big village in the are, but it makes it better. So few houses around but still there are some funiculars around, so it is a good starting point for any excursion. The Ashi lake is about 10 minutes walking in between the trees

This hotel is quite isolated from any convenient store or restaurants, but with the bus, it s easy to go to another area with this facilities. The hotel and its services are really worth theirs price, the rooms are really cool and the onsen place has a magnificent view on the fuji mountain (well when the weather is nice of course). A really nice place to stay.

We stayed here for one night. The room was really nice and also had a great view. The onsen has a special vulcanic water- it was our very first onsen experience and it was really nice! It is an ideal place to relax. The only thing that I could critisise the very little english- it was a little bit hard to understand them.. in fact, I expected more (as a place for tourists)- however we still managed to understand each other.

Not a hostel, it's a basic ryokan. Very quiet, not a place to meet other people, and I was one of the only Western foreigners there during my one night stay. But staff were helpful and the location is great for doing the loop around Hakone. Awesome to have a (partial) view of Fuji from the room in the morning! Especially since it hid in clouds for the rest of the day. Onsen facilities were clean and nice. I had the "mini" kaiseki dinner and it was good but not very memorable.

It is a bit far off, but I guess that's what you need to see the Fuji in Hakone. The room was big with a nice terrace and garden. The Onsen is awesome and the view of Fuji stunning! A+ for the facilities. There are no shops anywhere near the hotel, though. Recommend Fujimien with an advice to fellow visitors: Get the Hakone Free Pass if you don't come by car! The bus ride from Hakone or Odawara station is expensive.

Loved the place, it's more hotel standard than hostel standard. Room was big and airy, the bedlinen clean and nicely kept. The heater took some time to warm up but it worked well to keep the room nice and toasty. The toilet's clean, but note that there are no shower facilities, I s'pose you'd have to shower at the onsen area. They have complementary green tea set and yukata for guests and self-service pantry where you can get hot water. Staff attentive and helpful. Breakfast included was good.

That was a great experience to stay at Fujimien. The staffs are so nice and willing to help! They tried everything to satisfy with my requests. And the landscape nearby is so fantastic. Every morning, you'll receive greetings from Fuji Mountain. p.s. that'd be great if adaptor can be provided :)
