probably the best hostel I ever stayed at!! It would be perfect if the owner spoke more than a few words of english, but the charming room and price/value made up perfectly for the effort of communication!

This was a great Ryokan style hotel and in a very convenient location. This is more like a budget hotel. If you're hoping to find other backpackers here, you won't find any. But the place is great, clean and very comfortable. The manager is very friendly. Very good place to stay, I will definately go back there.

The Fujiwara Ryokan is a great place to stay in Nagasaki. The location is excellent and our room was large, clean and comfortable. The ryokan provided toiletries, towels and yukata. The owner was a really friendly older guy and he even gave us a souvenir from the hostel when we left! Maybe not for those who like to party as there is an 11:30 curfew and no real common area.
