Close to train station. Rooms are tidy and clean. A great place to stay!

Memory foam mattress and pillow. Amazing. Staff were very helpful and knowledgeable about the area. Lots of information with ideas of what to do posted around the hostel. Full kitchen was awesome, included free tea and coffee. Definitely recommend.

It's a good walk from Hakata Station, should be easy to find, although you should pay attention when you ride the bus from the airport! You have keys for the locks on the door and locker. The guy at the front desk was amazingly nice and helpful! The only downside was that it was a little noisy throughout the night, sounding like someone moving furniture on the floor above us.

It is not centrally located but is a ten minute walk from Hakata statio, and can be a little difficult to find. There is not much of a community feel in the common area to meet other travelers. There is a lack of bathrooms and the showers are completely cramped and you have to push a button every 15 seconds for it to continue to work! Overall, not a bad place to stay, but there are some frustrations.

Very convenient for traveling through - the staff advised us to walk ten minutes to the subway station, and then it was ¥100 to the airport. For the Fukuoka nightlife, maybe not so much. The staff was very accommodating and wonderful even with us arriving after front desk hours. Clean and comfortable private room, and the shared bathrooms and shower rooms were fine. Would stay again!

Internet was slow; this is unacceptable in the year 2015. They made it so I had to change into sandals to enter the hallway. They provided sandals someone else had worn; potentially exposing me to toenail fungus, infectios diseases or warts. Foot fungus and warts are lifeling conditions, they don't go away. In my culture, forcing someone to obey your will without their implicit or explicit consent or without prior notification (i.e Before booking) is one of the boggest insults you can do.

Great little hostel within easy walking distance of Fukuoka's main train station, restaurants and shops. Hostel staff were very helpful with information about getting around the city, sights to see, as well as catching the ferry over to Korea. Not the best communal areas, but the room more than made up for that with nice, comfy beds and deskspace, and very well-kept common bathrooms.

Great place to stay.

Yeah was a perfect stay. Absolutely no complaints at all. Especially for the price. I had a private room and it came to like 30 dollars. My only complaint is that it is too popular - tried to stay another night but it was all booked up.

Perhaps I wasn't lucky and my stay was at the time the hostel experienced some staff or financial problems but it was in fact the worst place during my 22 day travel around Japan. It was dirty with bad smell in our room and kitchen, and some kind of fungi growing on walls of the shower. Equipment in the kitchen looked like it hadn't been cleaned for ages and a hair dryer had some wires protruding from the inside which posed serious threat to users' life. The staff was nice and helpful though.

A little far to walk from Hakata station, but appreciate the clean and comprehensive amenities.

Nice place and friendly staff. Not far from Hakata, but a little far from Tenjin (depends on what and where you have to be) Would come again.

The hostel's location is excellent and easy to find from the Hakata metro terminal. It is situated in a very quiet part of town with many convenience stores located very close to the hostel. The hostel staff are very friendly and quite helpful. There was a note waiting for me on the door when I had arrived with my party. We were very appreciative for the kind and helpful service provided. The facilities are good and clean.

It was my first time staying at a hostel and I am so happy that I stayed at the International Hostel Khaosan Fukuoka Hostel. The staff spoke English and they were very friendly and helpful. They provided excellent recommendations for places to visit and restaurants to visit. I really appreciated how Khaosan had everything that a traveler could ever have wanted: fresh sheets, wifi, computers, washing machines, and a kitchen! I would definitely recommend Khaosan to anyone staying in Fukuoka.

We enjoyed the hostel, it was a bit far from town but not too bad, close enough once you got used to it. The staff recommended a good onsen which was nice, otherwise the hostel was good but not as nice as some other Khaosan hostels we stayed at in Japan

It is an amazing hostel with super nice staff. The price is absolutly good for Japan. Also it is awesome, that this hostel doesn't offer Dorms with 10 beds. No, max 4 beds are in the rooms. And very comfortable.

Very friendly staff. Overall clean & safe. Good to have an open kitchen where you can prepare your own meals. Nicely tucked in a quiet lane with convenient stores and yummy food places in the neighborhood. Quite a walk from the nearest JR station but once you get used to it, it's not so bad a stroll afterall.

The staff and hostel itself were great; the staff had lots of useful information to share, and the beds were comfortable considering how cheap one's stay is. That said, there's a lack of bathrooms and several guests didn't follow the rules (men using the women's shower room for example, or people slamming doors late at night) and I wish the staff had been more strict about that sort of thing. That said, I would come again because the location was excellent! Very easy to find with the directions.
