I suppose the location is quite fantastic cuz it is close to the famous night market but the environment of the building is not that charming ,makes me feel lack of secure

It's like a one room flat apartment. And some construction was going on. Never saw Kevin, but calling him helped us find the building. Corridors are filled with other people's stuff. BUT inside the room it was nice and had everything we needed!

After booked, the hostel manager informed me they moved to a new place, less close to MTR than original address. After arrival,we found that it is an aged&broken local residence, dim light, filthy corrdior. We phoned the manager,he told us to give the money to the guardian(very rude)at G/F,the guardian will pass us the room key, &drop the key in mailbox when leave. The \"hostel\" actually is one of the apartments in this local residence building.Nevertheless, room is clean & tidy.

This was a nice place to stay. It was not far from the subway or the Shilin Night Market, which was great. The room was huge, the bed was magnificent and the room was clean. They didn't clean the room any other time than before we arrived. We had a small fridge, a TV and aircon. The security guide downstairs didn't speak english, but he called the contact person so that we could speak with him if there was any questions. Because it was kinda like an appartment, we never saw any other tourists.

Awesome stay. Great privacy as it was more like an apartment instead of a regular hostel. Good security and great location as it is located just opposite Shilin night market. Definitely would return.

Excellent locations, as I stayed both at 116 and 128 in Taipei. Kevin, the invisible man but always available on the cell phone. Very shabby building, elevator .... and awful security man on 128 location, chewing and spitting and not aware of anything ... rooms clean, the ladies in charge do the best they can with very shabby environment ; rooms better than building, except bathroom in 128 very old with black spots ... would not stay there again nor would I recommend it.

It is a very nice and conducive place. Although we have never seen Kevin, but he was helpful over the e-mail. We like the location especially when it is just 5 mins away from shilin night market. We will definitely return for more fun!

I had a double room like the one show in the website. It's a room in an apartment block. It's quiet. The room is comfortable. It's abt 8 mins walk to jiantan mrt . There few eating places around the area. The Internet works well.

It is not exactly what we expected as our one room apartment is not like the pictures shown. We were expecting 3 single beds in an ensuite as we booked the '3 Bed Private Ensuite' but in the end there were 2 queen size beds. It is not a hostel that you will get to meet other travelers but more like a one room flat. The location is good as shi lin night market is directly across the building and it is 6 to 8 mins walk away from the train station.

The decoration of the room is good, but since the staff is not there, so it's hard for us to contact the staff if there is any problem.

Any facilities you need, you'll get it here. I think it's suitable for price and not quite far from MRT station. The best thing is very near to Silin night market

Value for money is excellent, while we stayed there we actually got the room which you may see on the photos. It's cosy, clean and what's worth mentioning - equipped with a little fridge, kettle, TV and a hair dryer. You get a toothbrush, toothpaste, shower gel and shampoo but no towel, so take yours. It's a very convenient location right next to Shilin Night Market and very close to subway stop. Oh: there is no check in desk, no official address, so you have to call Kevin to get to your room...

Don\'t expect a lot, people here don\'t mean the same thing as we do with the word Hostel and there is many of them(22 million)You often end up in a small room with some amenities-still in luxury-beside you it might be 5 people in the same size room. Otherwise Taipei was too chilly after Thailand, but nice market, food and cheap shopping and amazing collections of art, porcelain, jade in the National Museum.Don\'t miss that.Better map needed and the guy owning the place was only a mobilenumber.

Our contact was really nice with letting us check in early. The fact that we can speak Chinese and was able to communicate with the security guard/door man was probably a main reason for that but it was still much appreciated. The location was also perfect, being right across from the Shilin Night Market. It was a little confusing finding the place but we were lucky enough to receive help on the streets.
