Unfortunately we only had one night but staff were so helpful towards us! Felt safe and rooms were exactly as we expected them to be, had a big bathroom attached.
An okay Hostel. Nothing special. I´m still quite confused about the location as there was literally nothing around it. If you wanted to find a shop/restaurant you ahd to walk for about 10-15 minutes in the tiny streets of the medina. Not a great location for exploring the city I´d reckon. The hostel itself is quite nice, staff are decent (not too friendly, except the girls who work in the evening), okay-ishly clean, nice terrace. I´d probably stay again, because it´s really cheap.
Stayed here 4 years ago & came back cus I loved it then & still loved it this time around too. It's a great hostel, with a great atmosphere. The wifi is iffy, but works well enough. The AC is only turned on if you ask for it to be turned on. It's hot with out it and cold with it so get a blanket from the little closet in the dorm or ask for one.
Lovely hostel and lovely staff. Internet slightly poor but aside from that a great hostel.

Funky Fes was one of the best hostels I've ever been to. The staff are very helpful. The building has a beautiful, open layout that is great for hanging out and meeting people. This hostel and the people I met here was the highlight of my stay in Fes.
The location is quite good, right on the edge of the medina so you can get a taxi really close to the hostel. Staff could be a bit more engaging with the guests. The 12 bed dorm was quite spacious and didn't feel crowded. The wifi wasn't working properly and the staff didn't seem optimistic that it would be any time soon. Kitchen wasn't worth using. Breakfast was fairly nice. Still overall a fairly nice hostel and I'd stay again.
Good hostel, only fomplqin was tthebwashibg service which which had two days to only produce wet clothe, gratis!
Funky Fes is a great hostel with friendly staff. The rooms are clean and have air con available. The dinners offered each night are great value and really tasty. The terrace is the perfect place to meet other people and relax for the sunsets. We enjoyed our stay here and would highly recommend it for anyone looking to stay in Fes. Just beware of kids in the medina saying it's closed and trying to take you to their friends hostel instead, you'll be missing out if you do.
The French guy at the front desk from Granada--> the best The tour by Abdul -->amazing the lady at the front desk was very nice :) Great rooftop!
I don't wish to criticize the staff in any way, it's just that there are busy times, when it takes a lot of patience with booking in (or checking out). They give a lot of useful information and do it well, but there can be delays. The cooking was exceptional. Nothing I ate outside the hostel could compare for price or taste. It is a noisy place - at night - that's the nature of the beast. The value was superb. It's nice to have a book shelf too, greatly appreciated

Funky Fes is one of the best hostels I've ever stayed, congratulations!!! ;-) I felt really welcomed. The first day I checked in, I found my name written on a black board - welcoming sign. A simple thing, yet meaningful & such a kind gesture. It's very clean, you can do laundry for your dirty clothes after your long and dusty Sahara trip. Staffs are nice and helpful. BUT, what I love the most is: THE FOOD FROM THEIR CHEF MRS. HOURIA !!! OMG, she's just awesome on cooking. TRY HER FOOD !!!
My favourite hostel in Morocco. Yahya at the front desk was very helpful. It was very easy to connect with other people and book tours together. I made some great friends. Food is really good, no need to go outside for a meal. I would definitely recommend staying at this hostel.
Had an amazing stay. Great food, people, and planned activities. Always a really nice atmosphere with a great terrace.
Staff could have been more friendly and helpful. But great location and easy to get to medina and to the city. We stayed in a private room, it was lovely and cheap!
The hostel is beautiful, has AC in all rooms, You may need to ask the staff to turn it on,But there will be no problem on doing it. Good breakfast. It think the tours they offer are not cheap at all. You can do the same for less money. Staff was nice, not great. Tip: there is a bus to go from the train station to the medina/hostel. The kitchen was not great, but is because almost no one cooks.
Kitchen is horrendous, is okay for money but don't expect too much. I found the staff to be pretty unfriendly also.
A good hostel inside the medina. Petite taxi from the train station only cost me 11 Dirhams. Kitchen is a little basic but it does the job. Decent roof terrace. Recommended.
The staff was really good, which made it for me. I was taking a late train, 2:30am, and they told us we could shower if we wanted. That was thoughtful and made my overnight trip better. Thanks!!

Really enjoyed our trip here (3 nights), great place to relax after the hustle of Fez. The staff were really friendly and helpful and the breakfast was really nice (and included!). We also ate dinner here every night because the food was so good! was quite hard to find but found eventually- the taxi driver wasn't sure where to go. Great place to meet other travellers as well.
