I looooved Funky Fes! By far the best accommodation I stayed in all of Morocco. Beautiful deco, nice lounge area to mingle, hot shower with curtain!!(no other hostel knew what shower curtains were!) The only down fall is Middle Atlas tour. They said there will be English speaking guide but it wasnt. Food there is great, staff could be more cheerful but they r helpful anyways. I'd definitely go back there for sure!!

A couple of guys of the staff were just limited to be staff (not so friendly as expect for the name). It is kind of far of some interesting places but it is quite accesible with public transport. The main problem is that they have only have one shower and toilette (per 15-person dormitory) and they are together! so you should wake up early if you don;t want to wait

Nice hostel, situated just the right distance from where the craziness of the medina begins. Staff are super helpful, good breakfast, wifi works well. The best part is the terrace which has a great view, space to lounge about to soak up the sun and meet new people.

WIFI Works, hot showers and very good breakfast. The medina tour is necessary and a good price ar €5. The staff can be a bit difficult at times but that is easy to deal with once you establish your point.

This place is fine, but the staff weren't very interested in telling me what there is to do around fez or where I could get something cheap to eat. When I asked for a map the one they provided was a blurry print and usess. Otherwise the place is comfortable and pretty good value.

Good location, with a decent in-house restaurant. Breakfast was pretty good. Do go on one of the organized medina tours as you wouldn't want to deal with hard sellers alone, not if you have not had prior experience.

In the medina, but a bit far to walk to the bigger sights in the medina without a guide or taking a taxi to a different gate. Nice hostel overall. Beware of the local people in Fes, especially the young ones. Half of them deserve to be pepper sprayed.

Definitely a must-stay, a great social scene with lots to do, helpful staff, and great location to get into the medina. I wish I could have stayed here longer. Definitely eat at the hostel at some point, as their meals are outstanding. Had some great times hanging out on the roof and meeting all the other travelers. Would love to come back.

I actually didn't stay in Funky Fes at the end, but i give them an exellent review, because they were really understanding, open, responsive, cooperative and professional. There is not enough space to explain the whole story. I can just say that they responded positively, quickly and kindly on every mail i've sent them. I've picked Funky Fes hostel on the recomodation of two friends, who also had only good things to tell about the hostel and the stuff working there. So, i definetly recomend it.

I stayed at two different hostels in Fes and this place was the best. Folks were accomodating. Toilet paper was free. So was breakfast. Towels weren´t. but the place was definitely okay.

This hostel was fine. It had very comfy beds and an atmosphere that we were looking for (i.e. many young travelers). What is incredibly misleading is the location. The hostel is a considerable distance away from new town Fes where most of the attractions and restaurants are. Most taxi drivers, in fact, had no clue where this hostel was and really struggled to get us there. Also: do NOT book any tours through this hostel. They over-charge and have very unprofessional/unenthusiastic guides.

That hostel has a lot of character and a helpful staff. It's located away from the main attractions but that's a good point in Fes : it's more quiet and easier to find in the maze of the medina. Besides, you can get really good food without even moving from the hostel! Recommended

A little bit difficult to find and the informations at hostelworld is not enough. We needed to ask at the street and do this in Morocco isn't safe. The map that they gave us is really bad. All the other things were really good!

A lovely hostel/riad in a good spot, felt like there could have been a bit more of an atmosphere to the place but apart from that it was clean and in a good location.

+ quiet location, but still very close to the medina + nice ambience, easy to approach other travelers + very very clean and cool rooms + kitchen open till late, delicious foods. - no alcohol served, not lively after 22h - useless advice given staff about what to do/where to go (sent us to club with hookers) - washing service ruined our clothes
