Funky Fes was a lot of fun! It has great beds, great warm showers, and awesome food! Tip: the fruit smoothies are the best ever!!! Mahmoud at the reception was very helpful with everything including the arrangements for our 2-day and 1-night tour to the desert!! Great experience and would DEFINITELY stay here again!

Room had a shower and bath which was good. This is definitely a backpackers hostel: people chat about travels and make plans. It is close to so many shops and cafes. And they even serve food!

Hostel staff was friendly and helpful, and we felt right at home as soon as we arrived. The vibe of Funky Fez was pleasantly surprising to find in the medina--fun, quirky, laid back, and welcoming to all kinds of people. We enjoyed getting to know the 'community' even though we were only there for one night. The interior was beautiful and well-kept. Rooms and bathrooms were fairly clean. Definitely would return again, insha'allah!

One of the nicest hostels I have stayed in. The staff are incredibly kind and helpful and even recognised me from the last time I stayed. There was one small issue with the drain in the shower but it was relatively minor. The free breakfast was fantastic topping off a great experience.

EVerything was Great!! Mzyan Bzzaff!! Specifically the staff was extremely kind and accommodating. If you are up to learning Darija they are extremely patient and enjoy sharing their language and enjoy learning new languages from each patron. I will definitely be returning here anytime I find myself in Fes -KDS

Great hostel in Fez! It is not right in the MIDDLE of the medina, but considering how confusing and crazy the medina is, the location is perfect. It's about 5 minutes from Place de R'Cif, a major square in the medina. It was hard to find, definitely double check your directions! Great for meeting people, but the hostel was larger than most of the Riads I stayed in at other places in Morocco, so staff was less homey, and less willing to be flexible (ie early breakfast for a morning train, etc).

The hostel is in medina but not prime location. It got big living room and 1 old laptop which hard to use. The dorm room is clean and cozy with a cabinet and shower room attached. The 2 staff were really helpful offered me not only local information, but amazing advice for my trip route in Morocco. And what I enjoyed most is, they were willing to know the culture and religion in my country and shared their idea. I also learned a lot from that.

Though just for 2 nights, thanks for such a welcoming stay in the hostel. Great to have such a good selection of food to choose from and the staff are very friendly and helpful with suggestions. Very clean rooms, very nice stay.

Clean, colourful hostel located 5 minutes from the hustle and bustle of fes. Try serve wonderful meals and the staff were kind enough to let us stay in the lounge until we left at 1h30 in the morning to catch our overnight train without Charging us. Thank you funky fes, will return again

The hostel was well located. Staff was very helpful and friendly. Unfortunately, there was no heating in the room. Luckily they had very warm blankest and the shower worked very well, so for the two nights that we were staying there it was ok. For our visit to the Medina we took a tour guide. He was very friendly and helpful. It was actually a 3 hours tour, starting in the morning at 10 hrs., but eventually he stayed with us an entire day. He showed us the Medina, places of interest and eventual

The ensuite was huge. There wasn't much to see from the terrace. We tried leaving early to get an early train and the door was locked from the inside and we couldn't find a staff member even though it was meant to be 24hours - turns out he was sleeping in the tv room. It was ok we just got the next train an hour after that. In hindsight just let them know the you plan on leaving early.
