EVerything was Great!! Mzyan Bzzaff!! Specifically the staff was extremely kind and accommodating. If you are up to learning Darija they are extremely patient and enjoy sharing their language and enjoy learning new languages from each patron. I will definitely be returning here anytime I find myself in Fes -KDS

Beautiful hostel with everything you need. Location is right in the medina, tasty breakfast, nice staff

Great hostel in Fez! It is not right in the MIDDLE of the medina, but considering how confusing and crazy the medina is, the location is perfect. It's about 5 minutes from Place de R'Cif, a major square in the medina. It was hard to find, definitely double check your directions! Great for meeting people, but the hostel was larger than most of the Riads I stayed in at other places in Morocco, so staff was less homey, and less willing to be flexible (ie early breakfast for a morning train, etc).

The hostel is in medina but not prime location. It got big living room and 1 old laptop which hard to use. The dorm room is clean and cozy with a cabinet and shower room attached. The 2 staff were really helpful offered me not only local information, but amazing advice for my trip route in Morocco. And what I enjoyed most is, they were willing to know the culture and religion in my country and shared their idea. I also learned a lot from that.

Though just for 2 nights, thanks for such a welcoming stay in the hostel. Great to have such a good selection of food to choose from and the staff are very friendly and helpful with suggestions. Very clean rooms, very nice stay.

This hostel really made my time in Fes special. The common areas are a great place to relax, and they were ideal for meeting people. It was a warm and open atmosphere - I actually went to Chefchaouen, and disliked the atmosphere of the hostel I stayed at there so much that I returned to Funky Fes. Tours are easily arranged, food was excellent, and the staff was so kind and helpful. One of my favorite hostels I've ever stayed in.

The hostel was well located. Staff was very helpful and friendly. Unfortunately, there was no heating in the room. Luckily they had very warm blankest and the shower worked very well, so for the two nights that we were staying there it was ok. For our visit to the Medina we took a tour guide. He was very friendly and helpful. It was actually a 3 hours tour, starting in the morning at 10 hrs., but eventually he stayed with us an entire day. He showed us the Medina, places of interest and eventual

The ensuite was huge. There wasn't much to see from the terrace. We tried leaving early to get an early train and the door was locked from the inside and we couldn't find a staff member even though it was meant to be 24hours - turns out he was sleeping in the tv room. It was ok we just got the next train an hour after that. In hindsight just let them know the you plan on leaving early.

Superb hostel, beautifully decorated , inside , large dorms, good location close to the medina. The staff cook excellent meals if you desire at competitive prices, at any time of the day. Great view from the terrace of the medina and the surrounding hills. Highly recommend this hostel.

This place is pretty good. The staff was nice, but could have been a little more helpful with ideas about what to do/see. The breakfast was good and the location is excellent. For fes, this place is really good for travelers...woild recommend to any budget traveler.

My first night in the dorm room I payed as much as everyone else, but had to sleep on one of the two hard as brick beds that were shoved in the corner. The next day I moved to an actual bed and it was much better. People were noisy in the dorm room at 2330 the first night here too, but this isn't the hostels fault, was just frustrating.

very clean and staff is friendly

Clean and nice hostel, location is perfect! Cool roof terrace with a great view over the city! Due to the open roof and the arrangement of the room, it can be a bit noisy. The guided tour of the Medina is recommendable as it is very hard to find your way through the labyrinth of the thousands of streets. However, we had to pay a little extra as the guide takes you to places where you have to pay entrance fees!

The only backpacker place in Fez. Difficult to find, but a good place to stay. The hotel have a cafe where you can buy meals, which are lovely. The 2 men running the hostel are OK, they could be a bit more friendly, all they seemed to do was sit at the desks and count the money.
