Funky Fes was a great choice for a place to stay while visiting Fez. It provides the character that comes with being in a converted dar/riad, yet at the price of a hostel. It was in the medina, meaning you could to most sights easily, yet in a quiet area, removed from the crowds and noise. Definitely would stay here again.

Great hostel with friendly and helpful staff. What else do you need?

It was a little expensive for what you got. The breakfast wasn't that great. They often served cold mint tea. Had the pastella for dinner. It was dry and crust was hard. Half of the staff wasn't very helpful or friendly. The other staff were nice but a bit pushy for you to buy stuff from them. The facility is great, but it could use new people running the place.

fantastic hostel...........the food made there was great.but the main problem is the location you are a bit out of the way of things, and the people in the area can get a bit aggresive towards you at times, but thats nothing to do with the hostel.. also they could maybe have a few tours from the hostel !!!!!!!!!!!

This is a really beautiful old building not far from the souk. Staff was very helpful and it was nice that we could have supper there after a long day in the city. The best shower that we had in Morocco!
