The staff were friendly and helpful however the door to our room didn´t lock properly so security was a bit of an issue. Its located outside the medina so the location isnt overly convenient. I would advise against the walking tour, our guide was quite rude and it was less a tour of the city, more a shopping trip into his friends´ shops.
Very nice hostel, located close to the medina. All is clean, facilities are functional, staff is helpful, they offer cool Moroccan food discovery everynight (nice to meet ppl), nice terrace on top... It's all you need. A bit pricey compared to other cities in morocco tho.
Very nice raid. The Medina Tour is a shopping Tour. Our guide was quite rude when we didnt want to buy anything but if you are keen to shop then its great.
Hostel was fantastic! Staff were extremely friendly and helpful with all matters. Breakfast was also great. Had an awesome time staying here and meeting other people- would definitely return to Funky Fes!
I think the kitchen should be more equipped, with pans and cookware, otherwise the guest are always asking to the reception and I felt like I was annoing them.
I really liked the hostel. The room was really clean and big. The staff works pretty well and they are helpull people. I just think it's a quite expensive, especially If you consider that we're talking about Morocco. Anyway, it is great hostel and I recommend!
This is what any hostel should aspire towards. The European hostels I have stayed in before are like industrial sleeping houses compared to this quiet gem. When I think of a hostel, the Funky Fez is comes to mind- a place where travellers from all over the meet and mingle. Where everyone is relaxed and where you get a real sense that you are a 'traveller'.

Nice atmosphere, and decent prices for food services, like a hot pot of mint tea to recover from tramping the never ending maze of a Medina!
Nice hostel with a beautiful design but you have to pay attention to see the Funky Fes tile one the wall to recognize it. My room was spacious and we also got a huge bathroom. Best of the whole hostel is the multi level roof top with the great view.
Could be cheaper for the same facilities offered.
Really cool place and great hostel to meet young backpackers. Rooftop is amazing, and always people hanging out and chilling. Unfortunately, staff are not as friendly and accommodating as they should be which put a slight damper in our otherwise awesome experience.
Great hostel built in an awesome riad. Really enjoyed soaking up the last few rays during sunset on the roof terrace with friends from the hostel.
Great atmosphere, with everyone on the terrace in the evening enjoying the last few rays of sun. Liked the fact it was not right in the middle of the medina so getting taxis and transport out isn't hard like some of the other places.
