Not bad place to spend a night.

Arrived late and it took a long time before we could check in, receptionist was tired (drunk?) and forgot to give us the room key. Room was clean and spacious, quiet neighborhood at night. Free breakfast was nice, eggs, cereal etc. Location is alright, not too far from train station, arriving from the airport at night is safe. Not really a party hostel but the people were friendly. Not many locals. Got great help and advice from the owner, he was really friendly. Would visit again.

Spacious, clean, secure accommodation, in a central location and run by exceptionally helpful, friendly staff. The shared facilities are homely and inviting - perfect for meeting fellow travellers, and the kitchen even had vegemite!!! Loved my stay here, just wish it had been longer.

Very good hostel, kind staff, warm atmosphere, just 10 min walk from the old town.

I enjoyed my stay at Funky Hostel very much indeed. The staff were friendly and helpful, our room (private, three beds) was spacious and clean and the hostel was very handy for exploring all areas of Riga, including the Old Town.

Alfred was so good to us and was always there to help.

Funky Hostel is a top notch place to stay.... feels like your staying in a home. The staff are friendly and will show you around the nightlife which is an added bonus. The beds are quite comfortable so you should have no problems getting a good nights rest.

Great Hostel, real hostel atmosphere. It is quite small but that's a great advantage, you feel at home !!

Great place! Beautiful rooms, very hospital staff, very clean, breakfast ist included. Located where all the nice bars and cafes for locals are. If you prefer to go to old Riga where the tourist rip off happens it is just a 10 minutes walk. Decide for yourself if it is a problem not to have a lift to the upper floor.
