The staff was amazing! Always willing to help and happy to produce a good environment. I would recommend it to every traveler!

This is an awesome hostel. I had so much fun because the staff is so cool, they're very friendly and helpful.. :) The location is great as well as the price.

best hostel ever! owner is really cool and shows you around the city and helps you to get you in the best clubs. awesome experience, if you go to mazatlan you have to stay at funky monkey hostel

An amazing find in Mazatlán. The rooms were spacious and the whole hostel was super clean at all times. The individual room was also very nice and it keeps cool so you don't even have to turn the AC on. Salem is probably the nicest guy in Sinaloa and he was always ready to help. Would definitely visit again.

I had an AMAZING time at funky monkey. It's a very comfortable place, nice pool, nice huge shared kitchen and common areas. Salem, the owner knows the area and the local people and can help you a lot with questions you might have about mazatlan. The place is very welcoming and is a great place to relax and also go out party a bit if that's what you're looking for. the shower heads are amazing. Like standing under a waterfall. Will definitely come back here. Also had secure motorcycle parking

We thoroughly enjoyed the staff, owner and our room. They were in the middle of repair work but services were uninterrupted. I would definitely recommend it. Patrick and Nigel

We ended up spending our whole two weeks here it was really awesome! Its also in a really nice neighborhood in Maz. Had everything we needed, and the people we met and staff were especially great. We hope to come back soon!

best hostel ever!!! was supposed to stay 2 days and finally booked for 7!! the staff was amazing and fun! will come back there next time but only if it's the same amazing couple that run the place!!! love you Nadia and Brian!

Best place for budget hostel that is close to the clubs and beach and like everything. staff was great and really the only hostel in mazatlan to go to
